cincy trades #10 and receives a DL who they will have to give a new lucrative contract.
Rams trade #29 and receive a CB who they gave a new lucrative contract.
Simmer down. Just throwing it out there for food for thought. Not ENTIRELY true, Rams also traded a 4th a 5th and a 2027 3RD, lets not act like thats not significant. Anyways, if your point was the Wile E Coyote "Super Genius" of the Rams, go for it, i guess....View attachment 75365
Daniel Jeremiah (who was the one saying the Bengals were screwed) has those 2 as the #7 and #8 players in the draft in his latest top 50.I think several don't have Delane or Bain on the blue chipper list.
No simmering needed. Was not agitated in the least. If I came off that way I apologize, I guess I entirely missed your point of your post, thought you were juxtaposing Bengals vs Rams and I apologize, but anytime I can invoke the great Wile E. Coyote into a discussion I WILL take it.....Simmer down. Just throwing it out there for food for thought.
Both teams making a similar statement in regards to the quality of the draft vs filling their defensive needs, perhaps?
Maybe another take. Thats why I put it out there.
Somehow, he tends to remind me of Van Jefferson.Marvin Harrison Jr. Maybe not a bust, but certainly not the sure-thing #1 receiver Arizona was hoping for.
Agree... he seems a little softSomehow, he tends to remind me of Van Jefferson.
He can get open and make some big plays occasionally, but lacks the dawg instincts needed to play the position.
I doubt that. McVay tends to favor skilled, smart football players over unpolished physical talents.

I dunno, but if the draft actually falls in the order you presented here, I'm doing everything within the law (maybe a little more) to move up for Love. What is the worst case scenario for the Rams at 13?
Mendoza
Lemon
Tate
Tyson
Reese
Bailey
Styles
Downs
Bain
Love
Delane
Sadiq
is this the worst case top 12? Leaving a tackle as the best player available?
Is there a guy from this list of 12 that you would be even more disappointed “dropping” to us? I would think that if the board did fall this way, there may be a healthy market of teams trying to come up for first choice of tackles.
I think it is entirely possible that a wide receiver not on this list is the actual target anyway - Boston, Cooper, or KC.
Are there also scenarios where a guy like Love or Downs is on the board for us and we take a pass?
I’m not sure I see the case for trading up in the first round - I can see trading up in the second round - especially if don’t get a WR in the first.
Subtract Bain and there's a chance Mauigoa doesn't go top 10.I’m having a hard time seeing that I guess
The blue chip defensive players - I’m assuming here - would be
Reese
Bailey
Bain
Delane
Styles
Downs
With Mendoza gone that would mean that one of Love, Tate, Maui did not go top 9
I’m guessing they are thinking Maui or Love slip?
Or does one of those blue Chippers not belong?
Yeah - was in no particular order but I hear ya.I dunno, but if the draft actually falls in the order you presented here, I'm doing everything within the law (maybe a little more) to move up for Love.
Ain't happening, though.
I've seen him play and the stats don't lie, he wasn't good last year. Now before that, he was definitely a terror. I'm not going to pretend to ever know everything lol, but maybe he was playing thru a nagging injury or whatever. It also might be a case where he's rejuvenated by playing for a new team? I don't know. honestly. I just think the Bengals gave up too much for a DT. You give up top 10 picks for premium positions such as pass rushing edge, lockdown DB, QBs, etc. Time will tell who will win this trade. My money is on the Giants. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong though lol. Draft night just got a bit more interesting though. If you saw the team play you’d know. He’s the real deal.
DT don’t fill up the stat sheet so if that’s all one looks for, they won’t see it.
Again, it’s a heavy price but he instantly makes them better where a 10th pick is no guarantee
Don't want either personally. At best they're with Klubnik as career backups like Bennett. It's interesting that the "skilled, smart football player" whose dad has been a QB coach and/or Offensive Coordinator in the Pros and College for about 25 years doesn't have a better stat line than the "unpolished physical talent." Different competition but interesting nonetheless.
Garett Nussmeier's college stat line
660 completions from 1032 attempts for 64% completion percentage, 7,699 yards, 52TDs vs. 24 INTs
70 carries for -153 yards and 5 TDs
Drew Allar's college stat line
633 completions from 1,002 attempts for 64.8% completion percentage, 7,402 yards, 61 TDs vs. 13 INTs
224 carries for 736 yards and 12 TDs
3 WR go before we pick? Is that possible?
