A dark horse pass rusher if they move back to late rd 1 or move up to early rd 2.

I wouldn't mind multiple trade downs to get more picks that could be used to get a couple of players in that 26-45 range. Not sure the difference between pick 13 is that much better than that you get at 26. Then getting multiple picks can deepen the roster, so if you have to mortgage a couple of drafts to get a QB in the future, the roster can withstand that type of move. This ^^^.
All the guys I like best are early Day 2 guys: Jacas (Edge), Rodriguez/Golday (iLB), Hurst (WR), Hunter (DT), Dunker (OL), etc
My guess is the majority of the teams feel the same way.I wouldn't mind multiple trade downs to get more picks that could be used to get a couple of players in that 26-45 range. But I keep hearing the OT in the 1st aren't that good and will be guards not OT. Why would teams trade up for those?I would agree with all that except teams that need OL. Not terribly deep with top talent there.
I think the issue is the OL class in general is not that deep, especially OT. So if you are desperate for a guy, you may have to move up to get him whether it's an OG or OT. Or in the case of some of these guys a guy that could play both to some degree. But I keep hearing the OT in the 1st aren't that good and will be guards not OT. Why would teams trade up for those?
I'm not talking about depth I'm talking about guys in the first round. Aside from the 1 guard every OT is questions on whether he is good enough for the NFL at tackle or not or if he's just a RT. Add to that this notion that there are only 5 or 6 1st round guys there is no logical reason based on these discussions for a team to trade up for an OL.I think the issue is the OL class in general is not that deep, especially OT. There is if you want a LT and your scouting department tells you they only think 1 or 2 of the few can play LT.I'm not talking about depth I'm talking about guys in the first round. You're talking yourself into this. I read around here daily how there are 6 or 7 players worth the 1st round pick. The OT's aren't that good and they all have questions marks. Yet there are supposedly teams willing to trade up to 13 for one of these flawed OT.There is if you want a LT and your scouting department tells you they only think 1 or 2 of the few can play LT.
No. I'm not talking myself into anything. I just gave a plausible possibility. You're talking yourself into this. I read around here daily how there are 6 or 7 players worth the 1st round pick. Well, let's say your the Eagles and you don't trust Lane Johnson to stay healthy, and you also need to find his successor (strong belief in Philly that this will be his last year). Let's say your OL coach and scouts really love Freeling and you believe he won't get to 23. So you are left with needing to go get him.I'm not talking about depth I'm talking about guys in the first round. I'd go back to what my initial point was. All I hear is the tackles in this draft aren't good enough. So no if the tackle isn't good enough I'm not trading up and giving away extra picks for a guy who everyone says isn't good enough.Well, let's say your the Eagles and you don't trust Lane Johnson to stay healthy, and you also need to find his successor (strong belief in Philly that this will be his last year). I think you are overlooking how some teams can really fall in love with a player, especially if he is at need position. So yeah, I would bet one team moves up, specifically a contending team that has a hole on their OL and needs a guy who has a chance to start at some point this year.

My whole premise in this discussion centers around the talk here that the OT's aren't good enough the draft only has 6 or 7 1st round players. And somehow with both of those things people think somebody is going to trade up for an OT. If the 1st round or day 2 guys aren't good enough why trade up for them let alone draft them at all. Go with a day 3 guy.
I dunno, seems like a lot of guys like FreelingI'd go back to what my initial point was. All I hear is the tackles in this draft aren't good enough. So no if the tackle isn't good enough I'm not trading up and giving away extra picks for a guy who everyone says isn't good enough.

You literally just said they aren't good enough because of the arm length. It's not that the top 3 tackles aren't good enough. The issue is that 2 of them have shorter than desired arm length and the other (I believe) doesn't have all that much experience.
Needs to add weight and get much better run blocking. Very limited starting experience. Also limited to a zone blocking scheme limiting his teams. Also a lot of issues with his feet and his bending. Not really a top 13 pick IMO and by a lot of those "experts".I dunno, seems like a lot of guys like Freeling
