No, you can’t just call someone bust without substance. Also people just like to put it out there because nobody else has.

Problem nobody will call him out years from now, if he’s proven wrong. Why will he be a bust? What brought to that conclusion? Just a shame IMHO.
There are all kinds of hacks, trying to make them themselves relevant in the crowded sports analysis world.
Not sure this one was worth posting as I see Mendozas ceiling equal to Trevor Lawrence. Which is certainly worthy of a R1 pick. But I’m even lower than a hack sports analyst in having the necessary understanding/insight for valid player analysis.
I think the author made quite clear WHY he thinks Mendoza as a 1st overall pick will be a bust. The WHY is in there, did you bother listening to it???
Not just here, he (Daniel Kelly) has documented on numerous occasions why he feels the way he does. I, personally, have no idea if he will be right or wrong here, but the guy dosent hide, puts his name behind everything he prints, and seems to have thorough reasoning behind his opinions. Im just sitting here eating popcorn as a spectator in all this. I post, only because its a strong opinion worthy of message board discussion IMO.
When he doesn't bust nobody will remember Kelly predicting it.
I can save you the time if you want. Essentially his argument is that the Raiders suck and Mendoza struggles under pressure.
Is there bust potential? Absolutely. But there is with every single pick ever made. Anybody who knows football and claims Mendoza is a 4th round talent is indeed a clickbait hack.
Throwing shit against a wall and occasionally getting one right isn't really anything to brag about but hey if you like it all the power to you. I mean the bust rate of 1st round QB's and all 1st rounders for that matter give him a good odds. But the guy knows nothing and is just spewing shit so whatever.
I swear somebody has posted this same guy's hot takes before. Not sure if it was you or somebody else. Don't see how whether Mendoza pans out is all that relevant to a Rams message board. He's not going to be a Ram next year.
Former NFL scout? He claims to have been a scout for the Jets for 4 years yet no one can find any records of his actually being paid by the Jets nor any listing of his employment as a scout. Pretty funny. Not only is he claiming the Jets in his amazing resume. I’ll say that again, THE JETS! Even THE JETS don’t acknowledge that he actually had a scouting position for them beyond some paper he wrote regarding special teams. His whole shtick according even from him is that he says what no one else will say.
He centers his argument around Mendoza’s lack of escape ability and the poor offensive line of the Faiders. Seems to me, Stafford is pretty lacking in escape ability. Brady was too. But if I’m recalling, the Faiders have invested some pretty big bucks on that line of late.
It doesn’t matter to me as I could live my whole life with the Faiders living in the AFCW basement and feel pretty good about it. But his resume and the criteria he uses don’t exactly scream out to me that he’s worth listening to.
Oh, I missed the Dan Kelly talk. Darn . . .
