Im still holding out hope that the Rams are approaching this draft with quality players > quantity of players
That will likely be the theme same as last year with a limited number of spots available on the 53, we whittled away during the draft by trading away late picks until we were down to only 6 selections. We've started early this year with 3 selections out the door and well spent for McDuffie.

Buuut last year's draft has been a bit of a disappointment so far as opposed to the shotgun approach in 2023 when we had 14 picks with a ton of mid to late round hits. I'd say if you can hit on quality with quantity would be the best case scenario but we'll likely find ourselves in the same position as 2025 with a limited number of spots available on an already deep team.

Well, they only have three selections before picks in the low-200s ... so I think it's safe to say that it will be Quality-over-Quantity.

Couple of trade downs & three can turn into 5 or 6.
Let me check that ...

... Yes, that's correct

I was worried about that with FA. But clearly they're in that serious mode right now where they're trying to get the roster over the hump. So I suspect we're gonna like the draft.

Rams have already approved their biggest position of weakness with the trade for McDuffie and signing Watson in free agency. Now it is time to go get a big weapon for the offense in the draft.

I still believe the biggest weakness is ST's coverage. Unless the ball is kicked in the endzone or punted out of bounds I would always worry something bad would happen.

And our return guys though for the most part did a decent job of holding onto the ball (exception the championship game) but I don't think they could get a runback against a good high school football team........ zero field vision..... At one point I was hoping they would put Puka back there to return punts and kickoffs, but then I came to my senses.

Listened to McShay's podcast yesterday when they went through a mock draft excercise post free agency, it really does seem that Tyson may be the only of the top 3 WR's that is available for our pick. They also continue to discuss Sadiq as the possible pick. All of their validations make sense as well. If we are completely ok with Tyson's medicals, I'm all for it. I think the more likely option in that scenario is a concentrated effort to get a trade back and grab Cooper Jr. This mock exercise had most of the OL dropping down the board, which might appeal to teams that are desperate for that.

Looked like Les was heading for a beer. :laugh3:

I mean, the kid is saying the right things, isn’t he? He’s willing to fight for his spot, won’t back down, is expecting to be challenged but is not intimidated by it. I don’t have a problem with that attitude, but you’re right, there’s a vernacular there that translates to a certain culture; but it is so grammatically offensive that I find it hard to listen to without thinking, “pass.”

Does our education system really pass a kid through college who speaks like that?

Guess I’m just old. I’m probably being way too hard on the guy.
Well, not really college, it was USC after all.

The Trojans pro day does not take place until Thursday, March 11, yet there’s a buzz building over receiver Makai Lemon, who did not test at the combine. Even before pro day, Lemon has seven official-30 visits scheduled, including the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, Washington Commodes, New Orleans Saints, Miami Dolphins, and Los Angeles Rams. In my most recent mock draft, I had the Rams selecting Lemon with the 13th overall pick.
