If I was his agent I'd be telling him to run and participate in everything. If he can sell teams on the idea he's back to that dude he was, that's his best bet.

But yeah both him and Tyson the combine will be all about the medical.
I think the agents want them to do the drills once at most plus any private workouts. Seems smart to me since it's essentially the prep for your big day and let it all out approach. Plus it allows them to better script things in a more familiar surrounding. Lastly, how many times have players moved up draft boards after workouts later on after the combine. I definitely agree with you though that the medical is the biggest thing with both players as their tape is great. McCoy does concern me just a touch more as he was out of football for well over a year. Both have immense talent though.

I have a suspicion that McCoy drops a bit. Probably not outside of the first round, but I think he ends up being our surprise fall. Corner is just so deep this year and I suspect many GMs will follow your line of thinking.
Agree. A deep WR & CB draft has me looking at special players like Downs, Styles, maybe an edge who drops. Or maybe a small trade down and draft McNeil-Warren. I mentioned in another post, if Tyson falls, maybe you can't pass on his talent as a true outside big play WR.

Yeah. As a big McCoy fan, I wouldn't hate it if they take him at 13 if he's healthy. But if he starts dropping to the late 20 I might assume it's a Will Johnson situation.

Yeah I agree. I do think that Delane, who is damn good, might just be too safe to pass on fire him. I wonder how many corners fit in that bucket.
It would be nice to see them hit corner right out the gate with Delane and then we know the biggest problem area is done. Because I presume it will also get addressed in FA.

And if the Rams take McCoy and hit big on him they could end up with an elite corner talent. So I understand why they might do just that.

I'm actually rather open minded about the draft and how they approach it. I have my own preferences and hope the Rams agree, but if the draft has taught me anything it's that one's team rarely agrees on everything with the fans. And the Rams are more unpredictable than most because of their willingness to target specific players and go get them.

Styles would be incredible for us. I have to say that if I had to cite the best possible picks for us at 13 and 29 it would be Styles then Cisse.

Styles is that rare oversized safety who has all the traits you want, so he is like having another DB on the field on third down. That helps the back end. And then bring in a corner at 29 who can pair with the FA corner we hopefully sign.

Agree, I will trust the brain trust in whatever they do.

It was mentioned on the latest PFF podcast that they have shown to be very flexible in their draft planning. The previous two years they offered up a lot of picks to try to trade into the top 15 to get Bowers and then McMillan last year.

Yet, after failing to execute a trade for McMillan, they then shifted gears and traded out of rd 1, netting them a first rd pick this year. So they have shown to be very adaptive to the circumstances they face. They also pointed out, with how aggressive they were in trying to trade up in those prior drafts, that now having pick 13, do they again try to move up to get a top 6 talent?

Maybe they target a guy like Downs, or maybe Styles, who will probably rise after having a potentially great conbine. Maybe they go get one of the elite edges or go get the most dynamic offensive weapon in Love?

FA will set the table. Hopefully they are aggressive in FA so they can then do whatever the hell they want in rd 1.
