He's got Igbinosun too high I think, I'd take Muhammad before him, who he has in that lower group. Also I think Johnson is better than 8th in this corner group in his overall game, however these guys are going to shuffle significantly as the 40 times roll in because there's a lot of depth with different strengths. I have no idea what Johnson runs, but five years from now I'll be surprised if he's not a top 3 corner from this class.

Also Johnson had a strong Senior Bowl week. Only concern I had with him that week is it felt like he was dipping out a bit in the drills. There's more reps for some of the others, which I think is a nod to them. Though maybe that's just the editing of the vids I watched on a couple of the days. I didn't have time to tune into the live feeds on every day.
Muhammad is one of my draft crushes. Would love him at the end of the 2nd
The more I watch McCoy the more it feels he just has to be the pick, if his medical checks out. If his 24 tape happened in 25 he'd be a top 5 pick.
Exactly. Dude has it all. If his knee checks out and he performs well at the combine, think we have zero chance at him at 13 however. Thanks for losing to the Falcons guys....

Good news is if McCoy rises up the board then someone has to fall. This is a super get deep edge class and some guys are rare talents who might fall due to positional value.

I am wondering if they would go for Derrick Moore at 29 or after a trade down into early rd 2. A lot of value in picks 30-50. Moore, as of now, seems to be mocked in that range. I want a badass front 7 to help that secondary.

I don't see any rare talents dropping to 13. McCoy could be a rare talent that drops due to injury concerns. Potentially Lemon drops also. I'm also defining rare talents as blue chippers.

We should put together a consensus list of the top 15. talents to see who we expect to be there. Do we all agree on those 15?

I played with it, looking at a couple draft sites and I will say I don’t recall a draft where after the first pick, there are guys ranked anywhere from 2 to 10. I saw one mock where Reese fell to Dallas at 12 and another where he fell to us at 13. Others have him going 2nd to the Jets.

My quick attempt in regards to just the top talents, not where selected.

1. Mendoza
2. Reese
3. Love
4. Baily
5. Bain
6. Mauigoa
7. Delane
8. Fano
9. Tate
10. Downs
11. Tyson
12. McCoy
13. Styles
14. Lemon
15. Ioane
16. Howell
17. Faulk
18. Boston
19. Mesidor
20. Sadiq

Not awful, but Downs is a much better talent then most of those guys, he just plays a position of less value. But this does show both CB's gone by 13, which is not great for us.

I have McCoy, Love, Downs, as rare. Downs is usually mocked at around 10. Same for Love. Unlikely, but it happens.

Crazy draft with Mendoza and Reese off the board for sure and wide open afterwards.

Using your list my potential additions:
OT Monroe Freeling, Georgia
DT Lee Hunter, Texas Tech

Maybe(s)
QB Ty Simpson, Alabama - Position & Need
WR Omar Cooper Jr., Indiana - Just a good 40 time away

My subtractions:
EDGE Cashius Howell - Due to size/measurements
WR Denzel Boston - Due to more explosive options
CB Jermond McCoy - Medicals and hadn't played in a year. He really should have went to Senior Bowl.

Maybe(s)
OG Olaivavega Ioane - Position and some may like Oregon OG Emmanuel Pregnon more.

There's also a chance that WRs Makai Lemon (size) & Jordyn Tyson (medicals) might drop out of the top 15. Lemon might be a shocker to most, but if he's not closer to 5'11" and is more like 5'9 1/2" or so, it's going to hurt his draft stock, IMO.
