DJ listed him as one of his standouts this week anc will move up from his 26 ranking coming into the week. McShay and his sidekick have raved about him. He is moving up the board. His highlights are impressive. A DT who can collapse the pocket will help Verse get home more often. Maybe there is a guy you can move back a few spots to get that extra #2, and get an impact DL.

Overall, what I am saying is you can get a WR that will help at 29 or even after a trade down into rd 2 or at our current pick at 61.

It will be harder to get an impact DL on rd 2 or 3. And if not Hunter then maybe Woods or an edge who may fall.

I read that and listened to McShay when he was live doing it.

Maybe a draft like this. Move back and grab a player that can help get pressure in the QB, while keeping Turner, Friske, & Ford fresher.

I'm not a fan of Hunter sorry. I honestly think in the NFL he ends up more of a 3T than a Nose. If I'm taking a DT in the 1st personally it's Woods or Banks.
I like those two as well. I just want a guy who can collapse the pocket.

Ihanaechor or however it's spelt don't care won't last that long so realistically I'd go with Fields or Endries who I really like at TE. Didn't see a center on that board though either. Love the first 3 picks though.
Yeah, doubling up at CB wouldn't be the worst thing.

Thoughts on Jermod McCoy? Watching his highlights from last year, he looks like a stud. Could be a shutdown CB. Of course the ACL is scary for a CB, but with today's medical advancements guys come back from those, especially when they get one at a young age. I guess it depends what other damage was done. If no cartilage damage, then it should not be an issue unless he is injury prone.

He is absolutely a stud and a cb1. If the Rams are ok on medicals then welcome to LA. Him and Delane at 12 and 2 or 3 others at 29 would be great in the 1st though I'm not sure we double dipping in the 1st.

I must admit this draft would be disappointing for me.

On the fence with Hunter. If he can be coached to play lower he could be a force. But, for now, I'd prefer the Ohio State DT.
IMO, there just had to be better options than Lane and Lawson.

Actually, I took McDonald in another similar Mock. Just showing they could trade back to bolster their DL and still get good players at need positions.

I'm with you on this, however, with McVay having a ton of say in the draft room, I think it will be very hard for him to pass on a Lemon or Tyson at 13. Both WR and CB are pretty deep in this draft. Essentially, they have to calculate if the 5th CB/WR is a further drop from those available at 13. McCoy would be a impossibility if he hadn't been hurt and played like he did in 2024, he was that good. But then again, Tyson and Lemon are outstanding as well. A healthy Tyson could be a top 10 WR in the league IMO and Lemon could be a ASB type player. Love Delane too. One of those 4 at 13 and we are a better team.

Depends on if McVay thinks the lack of a 3rd WR cost us in the playoffs or the lack of a CB1. Also depends on free agency.

I must admit my fear is if Lemon or any WR is selected in the 1st round McVay might overdo it on 11 personnel again.

If he leans back on 11 personnel, he’s going to need to add more elite WR talent.

If he leans into the 13 personnel, he’s going to need to add more elite TE talent.

Either way, Rams need better players running routes, making tough catches and getting YAC. Our current group ain’t it.

Yeah, the WRs were night and day. Puka caught just about anything he could get his hands on, while the others (outside of Devante on the goal line) were like watching guys trying to catch the ball with at least one broken hand.
