Pick
13Los Angeles Rams
(via ATL)

Jermod McCoy
Tennessee · CB · Junior
McCoy is coming off an ACL injury that cost him the 2025 season, making this a risky pick. However, the Tennessee standout is a natural CB1 whose polished game enables him to play in a zone-based scheme that prioritizes ball skills and awareness. The Rams use the first of their two first-round choices to boost their 19th-ranked pass defense.

Pick
29 Los Angeles Rams

Ty Simpson
Alabama · QB · Junior (RS)
Simpson was a starter for just one season at Alabama. Still, despite his limited experience, the QB could intrigue Sean McVay as a potential successor to Matthew Stafford. As a mobile playmaker, Simpson fits the Baker Mayfield mold, which has worked within this Rams system.

Malakai Lemon has returned kicks, think he even had a TD called back to a penalty.
It looks like it's a deep WR draft so I would hate to burn pick 13 on a WR. I would rather a dominant DL, even though its not a dire need and maybe a luxury, but they are harder to find. The guy from Texas Tech is now being talked up as being a guy that will go around our pick. That could be more value than a WR. Take a WR & CB in rds 2 & 3.

What's concerning is that this now makes the 2nd or 3rd person I've heard point out how poor he is is vs. double teams.

Hunter at 13? No I'd pass on that. I'll take Lemon at 13 and still take another one in the 5th or 6th actually.

Makai. His first name is Makai. ;) Malakai is this guy:

He (OS) wants you too, Makai. He wants you, too.

Sorry, couldn't resist screwing around. Plus, I've wanted to put that line somewhere.

DJ listed him as one of his standouts this week anc will move up from his 26 ranking coming into the week. McShay and his sidekick have raved about him. He is moving up the board. His highlights are impressive. A DT who can collapse the pocket will help Verse get home more often. Maybe there is a guy you can move back a few spots to get that extra #2, and get an impact DL.

Overall, what I am saying is you can get a WR that will help at 29 or even after a trade down into rd 2 or at our current pick at 61.

It will be harder to get an impact DL on rd 2 or 3. And if not Hunter then maybe Woods or an edge who may fall.
