Okay, but we would still have to deal one of these running backs to a different team and maybe send the draft Capital over. Blake Corum is not a RB3, and Kyren is not a RB2. And i DO think we fetch a 3rd for one of these 2.
I agree we would need to move one of them.

As for the value, you gotta look at the last time a RB fetched a 3rd. It's exceedingly rare.

Christian McCaffrey got back a 2,3,4, and 5. But you are correct. It IS rare.
I was wondering if anyone would bring up McCaffrey.

He's the type of RB you build your entire offense around. If KW or Corum were that type, we wouldn't be discussing trading up for Love. He can't be used as a comparable.

Normal/average vet RBs never fetch a 3rd or more.

A closer example may be Marshawn Lynch. He fetched a 4.

Good comp.

He was the 12th pick in the 2007 draft, had had two 1000 yard seasons, and was still on a rookie contract.

If he could only garner a 4th, KW gets a 5th or 6th, and Corum maybe gets a 4th at the most.

Harder and harder to see how a Love deal comes together for us.

I think we have to be willing to give up our entire 2026 draft. But if what Snead is saying is any indication, he's not thrilled about this draft anyway.

Maybe they come out of it with one special player and that's it.

Just out of curiosity, who are the 16 players that deserve to be selected in the top half of the 1st round?

I guess I made a lazy comment. There’s a bunch of players that can move around in the first round, but I don’t see Boston as a first round pick…if he’s in the first round, I see him at the tail end of it.

#6 (1600 points) for #13, #61, and #93 (1570) is nearly even on the trade chart.

No 2027 draft capital needed, but we're essentially using our 2026 draft on one player.

If Love is there, Anyone say yes?
I do not. We NEED a WR 3 and a swing tackle from this draft. We don't NEED a RB. Would he be great with us? Yes.

I agree. In this draft, I think they are worth a 3 for a team that needs a RB. There is only a few talents backs this year. If Corum was in this draft, I feel like he'd go in the 2nd round.

I doubt either KW or Corum are worth a 3rd. My guess is their value is a 4th at the highest.

Also, the trading team might not want or need a RB, and even if they did want a RB, ours may not fit their scheme. If they get a draft pick, they can use it on whoever they want.
Agreed, and I think even a 4th is a stretch

One special player and some ST help wouldn't be the worst thing to come out of this draft with...

I'm with you. I wouldn't like it because I also don't feel we need a RB.

I question, though, whether we NEED a WR3. Sure, it's a strong want, but just like the counter to needing Love is that we had the #1 offense last year without him, that same logic applies to WR3. We had the #1 offense with only Puka and Adams as major weapons.

They could survive another year in that condition. Obviously, it would be better if they didn't, but it's not an acute need.

I'd argue swing tackle is a greater need.

If Corum was in this draft, I feel like he'd go in the 2nd round.
He possibly would be a 2nd round pick this year - likely a late 2nd or early 3rd. But you have to factor in that's he used up half of his rookie contract. Trade value is probably based more on contract status than talent.

I really like Omar Cooper Jr. But, I question if he'd be a 1st round selection in any of the last 3 drafts.

Quite frankly, I don't believe any WR in this draft class would go in the top 20 or so selections in the past 3 drafts. Not one. The same could probably be said for players at other positions that are commonly mocked high in this draft class.

Given the different types of WRs, in the end it's just pick your flavor in this draft class. So while I'd love for the team to trade down and grab a guy, I wouldn't be surprised or opposed to the team selecting Boston at #13 in this draft.
