Not EXACTLY the same for me ... but ... it is ... kind-a / sorta ...

Every time I check into the Boobies and Booty threads, I think I really need ... well, you know.

Sad. Kid was said to have major character concerns coming into the draft. Otherwise, he probably would have been a top 5-10 pick.
Yeah, I had a little regret (keeping our pick and drafting him) after he did so well this year, but those character concerns were well-founded. The only regret now is missing out on Nick Emmanwori -- what a stud. But let's wait to see who this #13 pick is! Of course, there's always the Ernest Jones trade to regret...

I mean Pearce has to be done in the NFL right? He literally hit a police officer with his car amongst other felonies. That said, I bet he isn't done and won't spend a lot of time in jail (incorrectly IMO).

Just from experience with professional athletes getting in trouble, I would not make any assumptions.

I remember watching this the night before and thinking that she didn't sound too convinced of the bullshit she was saying.

I feel for his mom, honestly. She probably did try to raise him right; no good mother wants their son to be a domestic abuser. But if this has been happening - and there's never a "first time" for that kind of crime; it's likely happening behind the scenes likely with her as well, if he's gone as far as aggravating stalking - I don't blame her for not believing what she was saying.

People with money buy their way out of trouble..... We have judges and politicians with zero ethics.... So why can't rich athletes join the "I can do whatever I want club."

People in high places just don't care to set a good example anymore.... Been that way for awhile and it appears 40% of Americans are good with that and 18% just don't give a shit.

Wow, what a fascinating horrible story. The guy totally and completely lost his shit.

I'll be curious to see what happens in this case. Agreed that a normal guy would get a ton of time in prison, but Pearce's high priced lawyers might find a way to drastically reduce his punishment. The lawyers are already working hard to put spin on an impossible situation:

Pearce’s legal team said their client “maintains his innocence” and that the “full, completely story” isn’t out there yet.

“We look forward to working with the State Attorney’s Office in fully investigating this case and uncovering the truth,” Pearce’s lawyers Jacob Nunez, Yale Sanford and Joshua Cohen said in a statement. “Mr. Pearce maintains his innocence and urges the public to understand that while allegations have the power to shape a narrative, that it is hardly the full, complete story.

“We look forward to vigorously defending our Client and remain confident that he will continue contributing positively to both his team and the community he serves so well.”

Facepalm!

I never could understand, why anyone would chase after another person that wants nothing to do with them.
Ego. Like a fuckin spoiled five year old. The entitlement you need to have to think it's OK to chase your ex to a police station then run over a police officer... Unbelievable.

Agreed. That Mom sounded like a woman who was trying to convince herself of something she knew wasn't true. Dude has uncontrolled rage issues, no doubt about that.
