Shithawks haven't run the ball effectively all year. The run game doesn't matter to them. We have to get pressure, and the DB"s will have to play the games of their lives, period.
I haven't watched many Shithawks games this season, but are you sure they haven't been running the ball effectively? They have a couple stout backs and they are ranked #9 in rushing so far this season.

He's correct. But they get such good leads that it doesn't matter much. They had a 2.6 vs the Saints but they beat them 44-13. It was 38-7 halftime and they only had 8 yards on 9 first half carries. They were slightly better in the 2nd half (79 yds on 24 att; 3.3) . They had a 2.3 vs Jax and only won 20-12. 32 yards on 11 carries in the first half; 28 yards on 15 carries in the 2nd half. Shitty. Then two weeks ago they had a 3.7 vs Washington and won 38-14.... again 31-7 but just 10 carries for 37 in the first half (by RBs; Smith-Njigba had 11 on 1 att); 12 carries for 39 in the 2nd half. In other games they ran pretty well. Against Tampa 122 on 20 att. Against Arizona 155 on 35 (won by 3) and 198 on 46 this past weekend...38-7 at the half. But that might be the hole in the armor if you can take away their pass game and keep them from getting a huge lead.

From what I saw, Mac Jones was getting the ball out fast, and the Rams rarely sent more than four rushers.
I read (and saw) that they wanted to drop edge rushers into shallow coverage, in an attempt to make Jones have to throw a bit more downfield.
I think the idea was to somehow be able get to Jones more often if they could force him to wait a bit longer, in order for him to make that longer throw.
I don't think it was very successful, from a pressure standpoint. I saw only 3 rushers not getting there, way too many times.
The tactic produced a total of 1 pressure and zero sacks.
But they DID WIN !!!

I don't even like to see SF get a first down. So far as I'm concerned call it as aggressive as you want. Stack that line. Blitz every fucking down. Knock that QB's dick in the dirt by making him get up after every completion. Roll your coverages way up and play press man on the MFing line of scrimmage. Don't give those bastids shit.
Yeah, I don't understand the D game plan. They get a lead, we play back and rush 3. We get a big lead, we play back and rush 3. I guess CMC is just to good.

At least Shula had a good game plan. CMC wasn't allowed to kill us. Plus getting off to a good start kept them on their heels a bit. What O really loved was how everything they started to get close, Stafford led the Rams down the field and put the nails in the coffin.

And the whiner's fans must have felt some pain because of the turnovers and the stoppage on downs a few times.

Was really happy to see Land Shark punch the ball out against Jennings. That f*cktard always seems to sneak his way to a first down against the Rams. Not on Sunday though. Land Shark almost punched the ball out of CMC's hands too.

We just didn't have an answer for Kittle, if it hadn't been for him I don't think the 9ers would have scored more than 14 points. For some reason Shula had CB's assigned to him for most of the day. Our CB's aren't strong enough to handle TE's. or RB's coming out of the backfield.

I'm sure the buzzards are thinking of a way to get their TE's involved.

Whatever's going on with the pass rush the last couple games needs to stop.. they gotta get after Darnold.
Come on bro! The 9ers have a pretty good OLine. In the Saints game the defense held them to 224 net yards...and allowed 176 passing yards. Sacks are sexy but the goal is to win the game, which The Rams did.

Like Al Davis loved to say...."JUST WIN BABY"

Seahawks like to generate big plays down the field. If we generate pressure, that doesn’t happen. Keep Forbes on JSN with some cushion, since Forbes seems to be the cb with deep speed AND height

The bright side is we have 3-4 TE's who can catch passes and who can create mismatches against the defense.

He had 84 yds and had 9 grabs with 9 targets. He was the only real threat out there on Sunday, and made a few tough catches with tight coverage.
Virtually everyone else was kept under wraps.
I'll take those numbers for JSN gladly this Sunday.

He needs to yell out candy gram when he does that.

Yeah ...... we can't have another one QB hit / zero sacks performance like we did yesterday, and expect a win against the effin' chickens.
When we last played against Darnold in last year's playoffs vrs Minny, the defense getting 9 sacks and multiple hits, including a strip sack, and big time pressure all game long, was the key to the big win.
Gonna need some more of that to help win next Sunday.
The D was a big part of both wins against viqueens last season. Darnold only lost 4 games last season and to only 2 teams, Detroit and LA. Getting after Darnold is the key to this game, he will give us the ball if we pressure him.
