As we move on to the Seahags, the talk is already vaunting the Seattle defense as a "possible kryptonite" for Stafford and the offense.

What I see is a Veteran Rams OLine with a QB that is simply plaing superb football!!!

What irks me is *they* don't talk about the Rams defense...which I think is gonna be the story this coming Sunday against that Seahag Oline.

How are you folks feeling about this? The Rams defense has been kinda snubbed as we looked to Sunday. I'm sure as we go through this week someone is gonna give this a reality check and say "Lets not forget the Rams have a pretty good defense too"...

it’s been kind of weird the defense overall is played well. The last three games but that dominant front four pass rush has been quiet if it all came together the defense would be top 3 at worst (hanging with HOU, DEN).

Or, we might get a higher pick. Absolutely no way to know at this point.
Bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

You’re right that there’s no way to truly know at this juncture, but we have a good-to-great pick already, and drafts are a crapshoot. I’d trade the late first if an opportunity came up, but I don’t trade Atlanta’s pick unless it’s to move up and Tennessee was the number one selection.

Hope we can get the pass rush going this week agains Seattle. It's the key to beating the hawks.
Yeah ...... we can't have another one QB hit / zero sacks performance like we did yesterday, and expect a win against the effin' chickens.
When we last played against Darnold in last year's playoffs vrs Minny, the defense getting 9 sacks and multiple hits, including a strip sack, and big time pressure all game long, was the key to the big win.
Gonna need some more of that to help win next Sunday.

The weird thing is we are hanging with Houston and Denver. We are top 3. Rams are sitting at 17ppg allowed which is elite. None of the teams now are below 16, but that's pretty rare to get a defense that good anyway. But we are well below 20 and currently ranked 2 overall in points.

I am not even remotely happy with the SF game defensively speaking. Just seems like we can never get those fucks off the field even if Shanahan has a car salesman playing QB. But the early lead undoubtedly affected the approach.

On the positive side of things Forbes keeps improving. Maybe he can continue that, we'll see. But clearly what we are going to need is more sample size to know what this defense is. So we'll see how they handle Seattle's offense. I do like our chances.

As far as Seattle, I have to think the Minnesota game in the playoffs will be the crux of the game plan.
Get to Darnold, can’t imagine that will change.
The niners are and have been a difficult matchup for a long time.
Each meeting with SF is unique and not necessarily reflective of our season as a whole.

We need to DBs to break on the ball and tackle well in short yardage since teams throwing the ball really quick (Saints and 49ers) to negate pass rush.

Also have to earn some 3rd and longs.

Sure. Probably could get a 2026 4th and 5th along with a 2027 1st for a top 10 pick. Strengthen the roster even further and get the QB in the next draft. If Stafford continues the way he is playing into 2026, what is a 2026 first round rookie going to learn from watching him...."I could never do that on my best day"? Could be more detrimental for a 2026 kid.
Top 10 picks have high value.

On the tradechart, #10 = #18 + #50 OR #18 + 2027 1st. Those are exactly even.

But if we trade down for 2027 draft capital, it's still unlikely that the pick next year will be a top 10 pick.

And the Rams played the tougher part of the schedule thus far. Minus the Saints.

The pass rush was quiet in both whiner games because rat boy threw about 90% of their passes less than 10 yards. If not for the big leads, I think the defense may have been better, but when you're up big and time is a factor, sometimes you allow the shorter completions to keep the clock running and then try to tighten up as they get near the red zone.

I'm so glad that Shula made the adjustments after the last game and took away CMC for the most part. And Bourne was hardly any factor. Jennigs had a TD< but that was after LandShark (Landman) forced a fumble out of him.

That first paragraph is spot on. Shula would have called an entirely different game if we hadn't jumped out to an early 21 point lead.

I don't even like to see SF get a first down. So far as I'm concerned call it as aggressive as you want. Stack that line. Blitz every fucking down. Knock that QB's dick in the dirt by making him get up after every completion. Roll your coverages way up and play press man on the MFing line of scrimmage. Don't give those bastids shit.

The way I see it, stuffing the run is number one!

If the hags get that run game going, it will tee up Darnold for a big game.

Stuff the run early, then send the dogs after Darnold!

My view……. Hags MUST run the ball consistently and effectively AND Sam has to get the ball out of his hands in a heartbeat.

I just think Seattle’s strategy of dealing with our D front by going with a QB that holds onto the ball too long- panics under pressure-behind an O line with some question marks is…we’ll um…..bone ass stupid.

Anything can happen, of course, but if we take away Sam’s first read and they can’t run effectively I think we may see a replay of that playoff game vs the Vikings last year.

P.S. I looked up his average time to release from snap so far this year and it’s 2.98 seconds. He has shorted it recently, but if he is around that time Sunday- and they can’t run effectively- they may have to take Seattle’s offense off the field in body bags.

Shithawks haven't run the ball effectively all year. The run game doesn't matter to them. We have to get pressure, and the DB"s will have to play the games of their lives, period.

I hate when they get a first down at their place. That whoop whoop shit the fans do is fucking stupid.
