From what I have seen, heard and read here in NYC, the Giants are NOT signing Justin Tucker.

Their new place-kicker is Ben Sauls.

That would make more sense then them signing him at least.

Trade him for Kyler!
The media needs to recycle the old line about "trading the chicken pox for the measles."

*IF* Rodgers retires, Pittsburgh is my dark horse team to get Kyler. Raiders and Jets there too.

I'm no fan of the Steelers or Tomlin, but going from Russell Wilson (and Justin Fields) to Rodgers to Kyler Murray, in back to back to back years, sounds like a dreadful experience.
Tomlin would deserve a Rolaids endorsement or something.

Idk if this is completely true on the $40 million part but if so... damn that's one of the most costly fuck ups a player has ever done. And good.

The really pathetic part about Metcalf's suspension? He didn't even have a reason to be over there in the first place. He had absolutely no reason to be over there and talk shit to the fan, let alone hit him; it wasn't like he was in Pittsburgh or even Seattle. And not only did he go over there, not only did he continue talking shit with the fan, but he threw a punch at the fan when there were so many other options (if the fan went too far, call security. From what little I can tell, the fan didn't go too far, but if he did, call the fucking security and let them handle it.) to avoid the whole thing, period.

His lack of impulse control and complete immaturity is costing him forty million dollars, and I can't think of anything more well deserved for such a series of poor decisions.

I have to say - and I’m absolutely no fan of DK - the fan seemed to be the one talking shit. It actually looked to me that DK was listening until the fan said something that set him off. Maybe I missed something.

Maybe he was someone he knew or knows? Who knows? But this is making the news. So I don’t know, but Puka now this? Too dramatic.

Metcalf had absolutely no reason to even be over there interacting with the fan, especially since he was in a road stadium, and even more than that, because it was clear that the fan was a Lions fan. And instead of doing the mature thing and walking away or asking for security to take the fan away from him, he goes and punches the fan.

Even if - and that's a very big if because we don't know nearly as much as the NFL does about this incident - the fan said something unforgivable, all he had to do just walk away, let security kick the fan out, be the bigger person. Instead, he goes and throws a punch at the fan because he has - and always has had - the emotional range of a two-year-old toddler in the midst of a tantrum. All he had to do was hold it together, walk away, call security, hell, not even be over there and sticking to his team's sideline like literally all of his teammates, and he wouldn't be suspended the remaining regular season games, and he wouldn't be losing all that money.

He deserves the suspension and every bit of scorn and ridicule he's receiving, and the loss of forty million is something he fully deserves for his actions as well, just for being so damned stupid.

DeKaylin Zecharius Metcalf
The Free Press tracked down the fan in the stands, who said he was "a little shocked. Like everyone’s talking to me. I’m a little rattled, but I just want the Lions to win, baby."
When initially asked what his name was, the fan said, "My name is 'Biggest Detroit Lions Fan Ever that got attacked by DeKaylin Zecharius Metcalf.'"

After getting further pressed, the fan said his name was Ryan Kennedy and that he's from Pinckney, Michigan.
"He doesn’t like his government name. I called him that and then he grabbed me and ripped my shirt. I’m a little shocked. Like everyone’s talking to me. I’m a little rattled, but I just want the Lions to win, baby."

The fan was not thrown out of the game, per the Lions. Lions officials talked to him about the incident.
