I'm not sure he took the job. Jimmy G simply stunk up the joint pretty bad. Any starting QB that crash and burns will be replaced. Honestly both Jimmy G and Stetson are back ups to me at best. Difference is Jimmy G can make spot starts to get a team through a season. If he were our starter, I'd be very concerned especially for our WRs since he seems to throw quite a few hospital balls.

Imo part of the problem is the crazy hype he got. Anytime someone is heavily hyped it usually brings in the exact opposite reactions. And there was a ton of hype on this board for him.

If I didn't know you well enough from on here i would look at this post and think you're comparing him favorably to Stafford. We've seen QBs before come in and have one year seasons like what you've posted for O'Connell and do exactly nothing long term.

Not so sure. Bennett played better in his two games while playing with zero starters. O’Connell was more of a starter by default, so he got to play with #1s. At this point, it would be difficult to say as Stetson appears to have really progressed while O’Connell has not.

O'Connell has played extremely well in actual NFL games, Bennett has only been 3rd string and hasnt sniffed the grass
