I think they're very similar, limited physically as QB's but smart guys. Career backups in the end but that's just my 2 pesos.
They are the kind of guys who, if they find the right nitch, can have a long career as a backup.
Nothing wrong with that, in fact, its great.
You have a role in the NFL are making good money and should be to retire relatively in tact.
Brett Rypien was still in an NFL camp and may get picked upped after the Vikings cut him.

Some interesting QB's on the move, I liked McCord as a project but he got caught up in a crowded QB room. Bennet or O'Connell? One has game experience and the other has experience in our system not sure I see a move in our near future.

They're angling for the #1 pick.

They traded for a guy so they could replace McCord that they drafted this year. Before that it was a standard 3 guy QB room. He didn't win a job.

Not sure I like this trade - I guess they knew he would be picked up off waivers and decided to get something for him even if it is 3 drafts away
But the Rams only got a 7th? Isn’t that where leveston was drafted?
Oh well. Considering it’s the browns, there’s gonna Rams may have moved up a couple of spots.

. O'Connell is fucking trash as a starter honestly.
Hard to take some seriously who makes a statement like that
17 games as a starter:
3,830 yds, 62.3%, 20 TD 11 INT 85.1 QB rate
Matt Stafford 2024:
3.762 yds, 65.8%, 20 TD 8 INT 93.7 QB rate
He is far from trash but for sure has played for a trash team
As for Carroll and Geno Smith, all I can say is LMFAO
Carroll resurrected Smith's career, and his first move as Raiders HC was to get his QB and pay him a boatload. Nothing to do with O'Connell good grief
And if Stafford and Garoppolo went down and I had a choice of who I'd want playing, O'Connell or Bennett? It would be O'C every day and twice on Sunday

Seems like they wanted a vet behind Hurts, Not sure McKee is the guy. They let go of DTR too after the Howell trade.

He's still trash to me as a starter so we'll disagree there. I guarantee that if he were our QB, no one would consider us a threat. There's a reason he's a backup. Why else would Carroll bring in a new QB if he's so far from trash? Why are we even debating some rando like O'Connell anyways.....we need the season to start :laugh1:...... Also why post misleading stats? You gave his stats over 2 seasons in a combined 20 games, c'mon man :laugh1:
