Ramsey should probably play safety at this point in his career. And should get paid like it as well.

It’s preseason. It’s possible that he’s giving it the ‘veteran in camp’ effort. Either way most felt the trade was not a great one for the Steelers.

I guess it’s possible hat Ramsey was trying to get back to LA and isn’t too happy about his current locale. Either way, I’m not going to read too much into his performance in camp.

Besides, he’s a steeler now. Not our/Rams problem.

Problem with playing hardball is you gotta play it out no matter how ugly it might get. So if Cincy's gonna play hardball, they need to double down. Otherwise, yes, they should have moved him earlier in the offseason.

They really are a stupid team though. Can't get out of their own way even when they do end up with good players.

Disturbing news out of Cincinatti. Bengals are now listening to trade offers for Hendrickson. Detroit has over $50m in cap space and are in win now mode. He and Hutchinson would make Detroit defense downright scary. Almost like our d-line.

I looked up avg salaries by position. I was surprised safeties are a little higher than corners. (The other thing I wasn’t aware of was that tackles were much higher than QBs, but it makes sense because good ones are so rare.) Also I’m sure medians would provide a better picture.

And a good portion of the better QBs are on rookie deals.

The NFL is nothing compared to MLB players. Backup middle infielders make big dollars compared to most NFLers.
Its ridiculous. Cost a fortune to take a family to a game.
Well, the MLB does get away with paying players very cheaply their first 5 or 6 yrs until they hit arbitration. I know the Phillies have a few starting players who have been quality starters the last 4 yrs and they make less than $2M. Once they hit arbitration then that will jump up to maybe $6 or $7M... after that then you are talking $12-15M for an above avg player... $25-35M for a star player.
