I wasn’t a big fan of the all yellows, TBH.

Maybe yellow jersey and blue pants might be okay.

But now that the Chargers have gone yellow, we won’t. The Rams are leaders not followers.

I didn't care. I hate the all blues. Whitworth did look like Big Bird in those but Gurley running looked like a light saber being turned.

I thought it was too. But when your QB needs your WR to stand still in order to get a pass on target, he won't get you very far.
He was always throwing behind WR's. Like, you need to LEAD them with your throws. He just gunned it at them where they were, is why his passes were always short / intermediate. You could see it in his OU highlights, too. Just stood there in the pocket like a statue while his all-world OL protected him like a wall in the good ol' spread O's of the Big 12.

don't get me wrong, @gogoat1 , I think, had he not been seriously injured twice X-( , he'd have been a good QB for us. Maybe it was the crappy WR's we had at the time--and crappier O-Line, smh.
But my memories of him are filled with passes thrown behind WR's on crossing / slant routes. We are spoiled by 9 in this regard, except for occasional under-throws to Tutu.
I still wince thinking of that #$@%@#$ browns DL bearing his full weight on 8's knees in that pre-season game. Like he was trying to re-injure him. Grrrrr.

That's nice for Sauce and Wilson. Chances are you can pay a lot of your stars big money if they're worthy but if QB ain't one of them, good luck. Never liked the moniker "highest paid". It never lasts long.

I get it. I do. You want to make the fans happy so you sign your two young stars to mega-deals. Making them the highest paid, or one of the highest paid at their positions makes the fans feel good about something. Because what else do they have? The team isn't a perennial playoff contender, let alone SB contender. They don't have a snowball's chance at the division because of Buffalo (and probably New England this year). The money would be better spent if you gave those guys top 10 money and spent the difference on contributing players to upgrade your roster. But the shit organizations will do things like that to put asses in the seats and continue to rake in the Benjamins. My late brother was a Jets fan since the 60's. He saw 1 Championship and that was before they even became an NFL team.

I'm not sure what this means.

I assume the Championship you refer to is the 1968 Jets winning the Super Bowl but the end of that sentence confuses me. I have already hit my quota for being confused today, so can you help me out and explain?

When the Jets won SB3, they were an AFL team and the leagues merged after the Chiefs beat the Vikings the following year. Ironically, the first year after the merger it was a former NFL team (the Colts), not a former AFL team who win SBV. The strange facts I remember......if only it could involve probable lottery numbers.

Yes, that's why I added the EDIT and Merger comment after my original post.

I believe the Merger was agreed to in 1966, and four seasons (1966-1969) were played before it occurred.

I don't remember exactly when but the Jets win was always credited with bringing it on. I believe you're correct though I'm not sure if it was 1966 or 67. But with media, never let the facts get in the way of a good story.

And yeah, I didn't see your edit until I had posted. It's all good.

Furthermore, the losers are on a wash, rinse, repeat schedule
With the exception of Saleh, (who was clearly incapable from the jump), The Jets have been running thru a cycle going back 25 years.
Deplorable season, fire coach
New coach has success in his first year, team (and loser fan base) thinks they are on their way and makes bad investments, wheels fall off in year 2 and get worse until coach is fired.
Wash, rinse, repeat
My prediction is that they'll have a better than expected season. Fields will have some moments and they will extend out his contract, and the team will get progressively worse....

Dedication is as such, yet as a Jets fan I likely would've quit without a switch when the AFC Championship years of Mark Sanchez ended. If the NFL team salary cap as a medium has reflected the QB position the last 2 decades plus a year or two added on....well I'd say Sanchez did his job even if the Jets traded up to #5 with the Browns to grab him. I remember they had a stellar defense too.

Note to self: Don't ever reply about the Jets or Browns on a die hard Rams fan forum site ever again. Major props to anyone that remembers the movie reference.
