Rams are considered a "landing spot for Jack Jones"

Los Angeles Rams

The Rams could use an upgrade over Ahkello Witherspoon at the No.2 cornerback spot, and Jones would be a solid candidate. Los Angeles looks to be the favorite to repeat as the NFC West champions, but the team must prioritize the secondary for the rest of the offseason.

I’m not familiar with Jones, but considering that Witherspoon played pretty well last year, Jones must be very good. Or, the author didn’t watch Witherspoon play last year. Which is it?

Neither is the author.

No ... Jones was credited with giving-up 10 touchdowns last season ... tied for the most touchdowns allowed by any cornerback last season.

Yeah there's a reason bad teams cut people who don't make a ton of money.

Jones is decidedly NOT an upgrade of Witherspoon. He was outright not good last year. He has been good in his career, but looked bad last season.

OOOOOH man, this board will not take any Witherspoon slander. Not our ALL-PRO (in our hearts) cornerback!

What? That someone said Witherspoon might be better than someone who is about to be cut to save 3.4 mil? Who is saying Spoon is even close to All Pro?

Yeah I think this corner room needs a young addition who will bring a strong work ethic and at least a solid talent base. Of course ideally they find someone in this draft who could possibly grow into a CB1. But if things don't line up for that then at the very least a guy with a winning mentality and desire to do the work, someone who doesn't need to "work on" his tackling.

I would guess that the Rams want to run more quarters calls than they have the past couple seasons for example and that should come out of the cover 3 percentages for the most part. Shula didn't really have an opportunity to fully retool his defense to what he wanted with the rebuild of the front in last year's draft/offseason. So we should see some of his intent this year in how they draft corner and safety.

Jones is like so many CB and just inconsistent. He'll have drives or even games where you see him be really good. Then there are more drives and more games where you wonder why a team is paying him.

Jake seems like a long-time Ram's fan, who is heavily invested in the Team; and his focus is all-Rams.
To me, Jake is like a knowledgeable ROD poster with strong opinions, plus a YouTube channel.

This guy seems like anything but a long-time, knowledgeable Rams' fan, with other professional interests.
