Yep. Hate to say it but the media will tell you that Sanders is a legit first round choice but he's a fucking huge project because he wasn't challenged to do fuck all other than short shitty dump passes. Dude is gonna be a fish out of water reading defenses, learning a pro scheme, etc. He's a small version of Richardson with way more ego.

Meanwhile you got a guy like McCord who has the arm and legitimately reads defenses and distributes the ball accurately vs good defenses and drops fucking dimes out there, but hey he's not first round material.

I think the media is fucking it up this year with this class. They're gonna be way out of alignment with reality five years from now in terms of the QBs who kick ass from this class.
So Merlin Kiper Jr, Who is a better QB? Sanders or McCarthy?

Love it! Add in a cornerback in the draft, and we could have a dominant (and still very young; Forbes just turned twenty-four in January) cornerback group. I've got my eyes on Wallace, Woods, and Lampkin as well. Add in Kinchens and McCollough, maybe another safety, and oh my.
100%. I feel we add a solid CB in the draft we are set in the secondary, going to be tough especially with our D-Line. If we can fill in that LB in the middle with someone who can cover look out!

Schwesinger or Stutsman? I know we're interested in both of them. And I honestly believe the Land Guardian/Landshark is going to be as underrated a pickup as Kam Curl was. Speights is going to continue to improve. You add a monster in the middle.

All we really need there is a bona-fide stud in the secondary to pair with Kinchens (as Lake and Curl are both free agents. I'd love for Lake to stay, but I think Curl's getting a payday that he absolutely deserves next season.), and if Forbes improves, we could have gotten a star from Washington for nothing.

Wide receiver? We'll see what Atwell can do, but I'm really looking forward to Whittington ascending like I think he can, especially with Nacua and Adams. And the draft has some really intriguing options, even late.

Tight end? This is the absolute draft for them, and we'd be foolish not to take advantage. Obviously, we're still going to have Higbeast, and I still have hopes for Davis Allen.

Edge? Defensive line? Also a good draft for them.

If I'm honest, the only weakness as far as starting that I really see is a swing tackle/depth for Havenstein, and there's plenty at the top this draft; hell, if Leveston sees snaps this year, we might not even have that as a weakness.

We are fucking loaded. That weakness chart that had "depth" as the only weakness/need? It didn't lie. It's hard to argue with it.

They’ll likely never have a shot at Manning.
Never said they did, just posted it since it was online and just an interesting picture lol. I'd imagine they'd have to trade a shit ton to move up to get him. Not only would it take that but also a willing team to trade which I highly doubt as well.

Challenge is we only have 3 picks in top 100 so gotta hit on all 3 or find a gem in R4/R6. Need ILB, CB, OT swing that can start or fill heavily for sure.

I’d like them to buck the trend of not taking an inside linebacker early but I won’t hold my breath.
Ditto for safety. It seems that stopping the run was the biggest issue on defense and just signing Ford won’t be enough to fix that. But taking another UDFA to fill the LBer void isn’t likely to either.

One thing I noticed in this class is that so many of the off ball linebackers have short arms. That’s not ideal.

We don’t know what they think of Leveston. They may have their swing OT. Corner is a likely top pick. I wonder if the right DL/Edge type were there early could they consider taking them to fill Hoecht’s position. There is a guy named Jackson from Arkansas that may be able to play the role that Hoecht did. He’s projected as a mid 2nd round pick.

For years, I would put on the Boomer (Esiason) and Gio (previously Carton) morning show that's on NY radio and simulcast on CBS Sports to hear Esiason's NFL takes.

Didn't always agree with Boomer but did like to hear his thoughts on NFL topics. However, over the last few years I have noticed (my opinion) that Esiason has gotten lazy with his takes It's common with a lot of older, established guys ... They just don't put in the same effort. By-the-way, I am the same age as Boomer.

It just seems to me that his NFL takes are now often weak in that he will say things that are not accurate; and that makes his opinions feel uninformed. I don't listen/watch near as much as I used to.

I turned on the show this morning to hear his take on the Giants signing Wilson (it is primarily a NYC show).

Boomer likes the signing ... OK. His first comment was that Russell Wilson is a "First Ballot Hall of Famer" ... said it twice ... didn't couch it with an 'I think" or 'I believe he should be' ... stated it as a fact.

Few seconds later, in discussing Wilson's strengths, Esiason said " Wilson does NOT take sacks".

Now, reasonable NFL fans can disagree but ... Come-On!!!
Is Russell Wilson a 1st ballot HOF?
Doesn't Russell Wilson take a lot of sacks?

I got to find a new morning show.

Honestly I don’t even think we need a high end OLB. If you look at LB’s the last 3-5 years that produce or get big extensions etc. there is a huge percentage of late third and later guys (Zach Baun). There is some late round gems this draft. If we have someone to drop in coverage and plug holes better just by a little bit I think this d can and will be dominate.

Which leads to my point early last season a lot of folks were saying Rozeboom/Reeder were good enough. Ended up letting us down the rest of the season and costing us in the playoffs.
I refuse to answer this question so will instead go oil my pompadour in the men's bathroom.
Excited Mood GIF

Nice to see him putting in work. Wish there was a before and after picture showing the same angle of him to better compare. Gotta give the kid credit but I still want to see those legs not look like twigs lol

I love that he is putting in the work and no reason he can't still be the sticky cover corner we need him to be but I'd say using the term "bulked up" is a stretch.

It really is! I shared one of him with Washington the beginning of last season and you can already tell a difference just in that short clip. Culture is a difference maker and instead of being pissed off/dishelved he’s getting after it.

Look forward to TC and seeing the reports of him. Have a feeling by the playoffs he’s going to be at least a decent contributor.

The two Quarterbacks now with the Giants. Goofy, not serious, authentic Jameis Winston & the Stoic, Serious, inauthentic Russell Wilson.

Isn't it rich?
Are we a pair?

So what I get from this post is that both Jim and Boomer are slackers. Did I miss something?
