Well the Bears taking the salary is nice. Now let's try to unfuck how we identify targets in FA please. Because they need to do better there.

I was hoping for a fifth but happy to lose that salary. Anyone know if we have any dead cap left from this?

I'm pretty sure we still have dead cap of $11.3 million and only savings around $3-4 mil this year but next year he's off the books with them taking his roster bonus this year.

I'm not sure that's correct. It's what Spotrac says, but OverTheCap has a very different figure. It's a hard contract to figure out. Looks like the Rams split it into three roster bonuses, but I'm not sure if they prorated the original roster bonus. Since we traded him before the second roster bonus came due, I believe we should avoid that dead cap.

Yeah I'm confused by it as well, the roster bonus split out didn't make sense to me. OTC was still showing the 11.3 as dead money charged to Rams under history though. Idk, will see when it's sorted out.

I'd be ok with him for a year or two. He wants to live on the west coast and can chase a ring with us. It's a good fit as long as he isn't looking for WR#1 crazy money.

Saquon centered a new model called strong run game and defense with some dude at QB. Nice to see a different model even if it probably won't be as consistent in the big games. I mean you really need a top defense and an elite back to pull that off.
