Wow! Wouldn't mind him as a safety for us. He has a bit of a bite but our defense could use it.

Id cut CB Tre Brown (he's a fill in for Witherspoon anyway) and see what cj is made of. He plays well we keep him when Witherspoon is back if not trade or cut

Problem is, where will he play and is he ok with a back up role? Word from Houston was he was a locker room problem from criticising teammates in am aggressive manner and voicing his displeasure withh his role and how the defense played to the coaching staff.

My thought is this.
Ramsey, Donald, Chris Long,
They all got mad when we didn't play well, hell donald threw helmets haha. Maybe he was upset with a BS team/defense similar to how Talib was with Denver years ago. And I remember people saying ramsey was a locker room cancer and a diva.

He could.play maybe as a blitzing S on 3rd and long situations like McCpllough has been for us. Just substitute them back and forth.

Idk. If he's got skill Shula should be able to find a place for him

Good points. I honestly and obviously don't know why the Texans decided to cut him loose but the locker room thing sounds legit. A change of scenery plus our culture could benefit most players. Nothing wrong with having more depth for sure.

I don't think Gardner-Johnson is a fit for the Rams. He would be competition for snaps Lake, Kinchens, Curl and McCollough; and, I think the Rams are happy with that group.

Unfortunately, he may be an excellent fit to return to the Eagles.
I stand corrected from my previous comment. Not sure if anyone posted this, but the Eagles actually cannot sign him. The pic I attached in the article I provided via the link.

Yeah, if you remember Kurt Warner he always spread the ball around, whereas Stafford just focuses on his #1 and even the #2 may lack targets. Might be a case too where due to his great arm he can put it in tight spots so he can force it to his top target. He doesn't have to settle for old "take what the D gives you"... he just takes it.
Different offense of course, but, this is why Warner is the greatest QB in Rams history.
Stafford is more talented, both in terms of arm talent and athleticism.
But, Warner would destroy with pre snap and quick post snap reads.....very often you have 6, 7 or 8 guys getting at least one catch. Even with elite receivers like Bruce and Holt, he would spread it around and really keep defenses off balance.

Nah Warner to me is way better than Stafford. Grocery bagging to winning MVP and winning a SB cannot be topped. He ran the Greatest Show on Turf and took 2 different franchises to Super Bowls

.

Warner was a tough SOB. He would wait to the last second to throw so his receiver could get open, then throw a perfect ball knowing he was about to get crushed. That's what made him special, and also have a short shelf life.

You think qbs from this era could do that?

I would imagine he'd be eligible after the Texans 4th game, so would have to wait a week

Think he has to be on their roster for that to be true. I hope that's the case as I want Philly to have zero chance of adding him back to their roster.
That snip above only showed the first section, but the 2nd section seems to say they can sign him

Well I stand corrected again :laugh2: Apparently a lot of confusion online about the Eagles ability to re-sign him. Guess they apparently can but the more I read about it, the more it seems like it will only happen if they have an injury in the safety room since they added a young draft pick that is playing back there. Hopefully he doesn't go back to Philly.
