I think Brennan Jackson is a hidden gem that gets uncovered this season.

Judging by how little he played I think that projecting Brennan Jackson to fill Hoecht’s role is a bit of a toss up. Maybe the Rams told Hoecht they weren’t going to compete for his services and have someone else in mind. Is that Brennan Jackson or more likely to be Nick Hampton? Who knows? Jackson looked a bit stiffer than Hoecht. It’s tough to imagine he’d be good in pass coverage.

I’m guessing here, but I think Hampton played a bit more than Jackson. I also think it’s possible the coaches have a plan and want to draft another hybrid edge type that has better coverage skills. A guy like Nick Emmenwori is a do it all type of Strong Safety who reminds me of Jamal Adams, and could be a versatile piece on the defense, he’s a physical freak, which Snead loves but would require using a first round pick on. It’s also possible they just take another edge. Jihad Campbell can play off ball and edge. He’d be a versatile player to move around.

Not going to say anything because production is the mother of all that needs to be said however there are some cases where time can be or should be given especially in cases of great depth and not needing to play players right away.

I definitely feel Corum and Jackson fall into these categories and they both have starters in their player groups you that doesn’t force you to start them right away if not necessary.

Have a feeling that’s why they didn’t feel the need to resign Hoeght, unnecessary money that can be used elsewhere.
