You're wrong, @Selassie I .This guy asks how could the officials/replay booth not see ANY of this. Obviously he hasn't watched any of the Ram's games this year.
As a Ram Fan... I've learned that they don't see most of what's happening on the field. Especially this season. EVEN AFTER REVIEW. Hell, in one of our recent games, McVay had to challenge a call made BY VIDEO ASSIST... and he fucking won the challenge. How in the Fuck was THAT not a real news story the next day?
These zebras fucking completely suck today.
And the guys calling the games on TV are paid damage control officials for the NFL. It's obvious to me now that if your network wants to be given a contract to air their games... you damn well better not say a fucking negative word about the league and ESPECIALLY THE OFFICIATING. They act like they're watching something completely different than what everyone is actually seeing with their own eyes.
I've seen enough "crappy officiating" so far this year that I'm 99% convinced it's intentional. They are fixing games like the NBA got caught doing not long ago. There's no way they miss stuff like this. Incompetence at this level cannot be explained any other way. Saw more last night: obvious non-fouls that were fouls, to help make the game closer. Lopsided games are just bad for business.
The "crappy officiating" against the Rams this year cost us 2 games. I'm 100% convinced that--fairly called--we win both of those. And I'm not being a sore loser... there's no way they miss that face mask on 9, unless they ignored it on purpose.
Honestly, at this point it's going to take an act of Congress to fix the NFL.
edit: sorry to hijack the thread. carry on...
