No ...

It was Michael Lombardi (no relation to Vince). Said it on the Rich Eisen Show prior to the 2017 Season.

Go to YouTube and type in "michael lombardi on rich eisen talking about jared goff". You will find it.

Eisen suggested the 2017 Rams under new head coach Sean McVay could be a 'Sleeper Team' ... and Lombardi laughed it off, saying 'Goff had no feel for the game and can't play.'

Eisen pushed back, saying 'You can tell that after seven games?' (Goff played 7 games in 2016).

The Arrogant Fat Fuck's response was ... 'I could tell that after seven throws.'

Lombardi has a history of harsh criticisms that prove stupendously wrong, making him look like a fool.

Here's another example that's easy to find:
Prior to the 2017 season, Lombardi wrote that Eagles' head coach Doug Peterson 'was less qualified to coach an NFL team than anyone I have ever seen.'
The Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl that year.
He also called the hiring of a 31 yr old McVay, "a joke."

It's not that he is sometimes Amazingly Wrong. No one can do that job, and always be right.

It's the Arrogance. Lombardi is off-the-charts. I have difficulty thinking of someone comparable (NFL-related).

Wasn’t it that “expert” cosell who said he knew goff couldn’t play in the NFL? He said it only took a few throws to know that, not just a few games!

What do these guys really know? How to say enough to keep their jobs?

I think it was that Lombardi jerk.

It's mind blowing to know this guy was ever a GM.

Guess changing your last name Lombardi will get you some work until a point.

He should change his last name to McVay name because Sean's his daddy now!

Commodes kicker Brandon McManus, Jaguars are being sued in civil court

Associated Press

The Washington Commodes said Monday they were made aware of a lawsuit filed in civil court last week against kicker Brandon McManus, and the Jacksonville Jaguars acknowledged they are also being sued.
A Commodes spokesperson said the team is looking into the situation and has spoken with McManus' agent and the NFL office, adding, "We take allegations of this nature very seriously."
ESPN reported two women are suing McManus for sexually assaulting them during a charter flight to London last year when he was playing for the Jaguars, who said they are aware of the complaint and the significance of the claims being made.
"As we continue to look into the matter, it bears emphasizing that we insist on an organization built by people who represent our community and game with the highest character and class," the Jaguars said in a statement.
Citing court documents that have not yet been posted on Duval County's public records database, ESPN reports the women, identified as Jane Doe I and Jane Doe II, are accusing McManus of rubbing and grinding against them during the flight and the Jaguars of failing to supervise him and create a safe environment for staff serving the team. They are seeking more than $1 million and asking for a jury trial, according to ESPN.
McManus' lawyer called them "absolutely fictitious and demonstrably false allegations."
"We intend to aggressively defend Brandon's rights and integrity and clear his name by showing what these claims truly are -- an extortion attempt," Brett R. Gallaway of McLaughlin & Stern said in a statement sent to The Associated Press.
McManus, who turns 33 in July, signed with Washington in March. The Philadelphia native has been in the league for a decade, the first nine seasons with the Denver Broncos, after playing at Temple.

And in 2021 - he stated Zac Taylor should not be head coach of the Bengals.

I wonder how that worked out.

Lombardi is the biggest joke of the NFL.

Are you saying he's the Bernie Madoff of NFL Media?

Thank you for correcting me. I get some of these “arrogant fucks” mixed up. I also remember the criticism of pederson.

If they are going to McManus’ name out there the women’s names should be in it too.

You and @RamFan503 are killing me. It’s been like one reported practice where a good defense understands concepts a rookie QB doesn’t.
Actually, this report means nothing to me. We hear that kind of shit all the time. We also hear huge kudos for players that turn out to be busts or JAGs.

I am basing it on what I saw from him as a player - how he looked against better competition, how his back up looked with the same team, how I perceived his mindset and attitude, etc...

Rams fans are surprised, too…

Allen Robinson is surprised the Steelers cut him, but found the right fit with the Giants

I have to wonder about Robinson's grasp on reality.

Two years removed from a hugely disappointing 33 receptions, 339 yards and 3 TDs, Robinson followed it up with 34 receptions, 280 yards and zero TDs in 17 games.

Think about that. Robinson's 2022 with the Rams was actually Far Better that his 2023 in Pittsburgh.

In New York, Robinson is no higher than 4thWR on the Giants depth chart; and probably 5th entering Camp.

Malik Nabers, Wan'Dale Robinson and Jalin Hyatt are all ahead of Robinson; and, if he gets his contract issue worked-out, Darius Slayton is also ahead of him. That makes Robinson the Giants' 5th WR.

Robinson could be competing with Isaiah McKenzie, Isaiah Hodgins, Myles Boykin and Gunner Olszewski for the final roster spot. I hope Allen Robinson is only renting because his time in NY/NJ may be short.

The “right fit” being any team that was desperate enough to sign him. NE is the only other team I can think of that would have been as desperate as the NYG.

Seriously, what is with this guy? I'm flabbergasted another team is giving him more money to suck ass.

His cap number is less than $1.1M; and if the Giants cut him, the Dead-$ is a mere $25,000.

That seems about right. If Robinson does not make the team, it essentially doesn't cost NY anything.

Hearing some rumors the Rams may be kicking the tires on safety Justin Simmons. I'm pretty excited to see how our Dual Cams work out back there but we do run a lot of sets with 3 safety's so who knows.
