Actually, looking at his contract they save quite a bit of cap space next year. That contract was easier to get out of then I thought it'd be.

Looks like Daniel Jones has a $41.6M cap number for 2025.

If I am reading OTC correctly, releasing Jones after this season and before June, results in a cap savings of almost half for the $41.6M ... 22.2M of Dead-$, with $19.4M of cap savings.

If they are releasing him now (per Schefter), not sure what the cap impact is currently or in 2025. OTC has the Giants with a mere $3M of cap space at the moment. I would have thought releasing now was off-the-table.

I take the salary cap seriously but I am often surprised and confused ... Much like in every day life!

According to the below article, no. Prime pulling the discreet Manning. Vegas looks like a good marriage, but unsure of their current leadership team.
Shedeur Deion Sanders could end up being a New York Football Giant too. Very, Very possible. As of right now the Giants have the 3rd pick, the Raiders the 4th.

Possible, but would you trust Daboll to develop your kid? The NYG recent track record doesn’t hold up well either. They don’t appear to be nearing a playoff team.

Who says Daboll will even be back? Heck, might get a package deal with Sheddaur and Deion

I will pass. Would be funny for many reasons if the Cowboys signed him though with Dak out lol.
I wouldnt be surprised at this point.

Question is, is it really DJ fault? The team is loaded with young talent. Front office is the issue.

Daboll is prob out too, he just doesnt know yet.

Fault? Well in a way, yes. He just isnt very good, never has been. We've seen the best out of the guy and it isnt very good. Its on Daboll and he should go with Jones. Giants were smart enough to know not to give Jones the 5th year on his rookie deal but then signed him to the absurd extension because Daboll wanted him. They could have let him walk and drafted a QB, or more likely he would have signed an extension for a more reasonable amount (like a 1/3rd of what he got). But Daboll had them believe he could play like Josh Allen and now here we are
