Seems right.

My take was informed by my perspective of Jefferson.. that he’s an outlier, not just slightly better than the rest.

Donald was my model contract for that, as far as being above market.

My opinion of Jefferson is too high, it seems.
IMO not at all on Jefferson he's the best WR right now in the league as of today. Doesn't mean he'll be the highest paid though.

He's up there. But if I could "draft" any wideout from any team he wouldn't be my first choice. I don't like his attitude and I don't think he'll ever win shit.

Turning a second into a seventh. That’s some good Gm’ing
Well, it was actually a 3rd rounder, and he was so bad they drafted Levis the very next year. Not a great pick but qb's....

Same was said about OBJ. QB's and Defenses win titles not WR's but they contribute.
Yes they do. I always liked OBJ though. His issue was health. I have never liked Jefferson, he's a mouthy bastard who I think's better off as a second fiddle.

I've never understood the dislike of Levis. He's a lot like Allen, not as good a runner but a notoriously hard worker with talent so I think he'll do well at some point at this level.

Careful ...

Rams' GM traded both Akers and Jefferson (2nd rounders) along with 7th round picks for 6th round picks.
Yeah, they were 6th rd picks ... we dominate the 5th & 6th round!

In all seriousness, the draft is such a crap shoot. The Eagles Nolan Smith was playing deep into preseason game 3 and he did nothing. The local beat writer said if not for being a former first rounder, he would be gone.

He was in the same draft as Nick Hampton...both are of similar size, and yet Hampton has shown more, even though that is still a small sample. And of course Byron Young has done so much more as a late 3rd rounder.

I didn’t think he was going to make it, but I am curious this year to see what he does.

I watched their games when Liam was their OC and Levis consistently surprised me. And it was Liam who talked up his work ethic. So when the mayo shit went down and everyone was crapping on him in the media I always felt like it was overplayed.

Wasn’t he a second round pick?

No, a 3rd.

I remember when the Lions traded up to #12 and the bozos at espn were saying it was for this guy. Man they hated goff.

Anyway he ended up dropping to the 3rd round. Funny shit. Not for him, for the "experts" at espn.

Strictly from an obsessive fantasy football perspective (having had some combination of all 4 on my teams the past 2 years):
Jefferson>Hill>Lamb>Chase.

And anybody else remember the stink raised when a few of us said Jefferson wouldn't be the highest paid WR for long? LOL

He's held on so far. Can't see the Bengals giving chase more. And aiyuk, haha.

Well it’s for sure the way of everybody to crap on someone pretty f’n quick.

I’m a firm believer a hard worker will eventually surpass someone with talent.
