I remember Carroll doing the throat slash in the NFL. Then at USC he seemed punkish. Certainly at Seattle he was. But everybody says what a nice guy he is. What are they going to say, "he's a fucking asshole"?

Say as you want his record speaks for itself.The NCAA gave him and SC no chance.I could get political and reverse it.I’ll just say what happened to SC was WORSE than SMU! Garrett & Samson were A-Holes and let it happen as well.The basketball team would have won a National Championship.Letting an agent on Campus was a problem.OJ Mayo ???

BTW I saw on a different Rams message board (not this one) where a poster said that "McVay has devolved into Jeff Fisher" and that Stafford should be benched for the remainder of the season and playoffs for Jimmy G, so "we can see what we've got." And this guy posted this AFTER the victory over the Cards...he was complaining about the troubles on offense.

Lots of coaches are winners. Just like lots of players are great. And lots of both are assholes. Rodgers, Carroll and Payton come to mind fairly fast. FWIW, that "winner" from Seattle won 1 division title his last 7 years (since McVay arrived). So maybe a more accurate description is, he "was" a winner.....way back when.

I have no idea what you meant by the third paragraph. At all. I'm sorry, but Pete Carroll is not a good person and was an overrated coach. I'm just thankful he's not our coach and never will be.

They eliminated us in the playoffs a year ago.

They took numerous cheap shots at our QB and WR’s heads.

They purposely wrecked our starting TE’s knee.

Their fans talk a lot of shit for never winning anything. Entitled. No class and no respect for the QB who took a beating surrounded by shitty players and shitty coaching for over a decade and kept picking himself up off the floor and never quit or pointed fingers.

Their HC is his own biggest fan and an attention seeker.

They’re allowed to play more physically (dirty) than other teams because of their “rep.”

I mentioned I would kick him. Twice. And now it's a third time in a third post. But if I really wanted to (and I don't) and could break the law without consequence and get away with it, it would be something to do with counterfeiting money. Not towards mom-and-pop shops and indy game creators, but, like, Amazon, Microsoft, and big gaming companies, and shit like that. You know, like, Robin Hood, except I rip off the rich and don't do the same to the poor and middle-class?

What happened was lack of institutional control. Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart, amongst many others under Carroll, got away with so much shit that it's not even funny, and then he bailed on them for Seattle the second he could before he could face the music. He's a scummy coach and a scummy person.

And McVay doesn't do power trips. He does not strike me as that coach. Of course, he's growing out of his tendencies, but if he was on a power trip, we'd know, and he would not be running the - for the majority of it - professional ship he runs because the players would call him out on it. Notice that not a single ex-player or current player has had any public negative things to say about McVay. Compared to Shanahan, Belicheat, and Carroll? That says something.
