For 2024? Because I believe no one will be signed to the Rams in 2023 unless they have a 2024 role.
Wentz as a backup to Stafford only makes sense if Rams are in the hunt and Stafford is out for a game or two. He might win, whereas a rook drafted in the 4th or 5th round probably won't.

I like the idea of Tune or OConnell but I don't think they have Corral's upside.

Reason I like him is because even though his offense wasn't pro style it had him routinely making quick decisions of successive reads and he handled it really well. And he's a tough and competitive sumbish. Type of dude who will party with the linemen.

But anyway not trying to convince you, just hoping they consider him and I'd like to see Tune or another QB added on top of that for a completely reloaded room.
I’m not too familiar with Corral. However I’ve seen Lys Franc injuries end some professional athletes careers. If Reich is so willing to give him up, it makes me wonder why.

However having two backups like Ayden O’Connel and Corral would be a lot better than the Wolford/Perkins duo that the Rams have had the last few years, even if they are just hoping that his injury heals.

I'd prefer an untested 5th round rookie to either of those guys. It doesn't matter that Stafford has been injured recently. If he goes down and Perkins or Wolford are the #1, we're doomed anyway. Rather give the reps to some kid who may be something down the road. Of course the head coach might not feel that way.
Same here. Nobody wants either of those guys back on the team. Another reason, their minimum salary is likely well above a 5th round rookies. Oh, and they suck.
Les... Go get Matt Corral and look like a genius down the road. Do it goddammit shit fuck ass.

I'd definitely offer a 5th-7th for him. There is a reason he was discussed as a 1st round last year and he's done nothing on the field to prove otherwise. The injury does sink some value, but, we can draft a guy and IR Coral until he's 100%. Always a good idea to take stabs at QB's with high potential.

Lis franc injury? No experience in the NFL what so ever (besides preseason). 3rd round pick in 2022, #94 or just a few slots from a 4th rounder. I'd offer a 6th or a 7th with a provisional 6th or 7th pick in 2024, if he makes the squad, which could be upped to a 5th in 2024 if he plays 120 or more snaps at QB in 2023.

He'd cost us 0.936 against the cap in 2023, 1.178 in 2024 and 1.399 in 2025. Hell if I felt real good about him, I'd make that a provisional 2024 4th round pick with that 6th or 7th for 2023.

Sounds like fair compensation to me. Especially when you consider what JR got us.

It really wasn't long ago where they ranked the NFC West as the best division. I'm sorry, but I think the AFC South is inferior personally and last years standings back that up.

SF>JAX
SEA>TEN
LAR>IND
ARI=HOU

EDIT: think I misread it. They are stating that the division with the most heavy favorite at top rather then the strength of division itself. My bad. Still true though lol

Every year those useless projections change. In the beginning of the season the NFC East wasn't thought to be the best division. But Philly started 6-0, the Giants 5-1, Dallas 4-2 and Washington 2-4. They all ended up .500 or better. Philly 14-3, Dallas 12-5, NYG 9-7-1 and Washington 8-8-1. Now they're thought to be the toughest division but I wouldn't lay too much $ on that.

If Rodgers goes to NY, the East will be considered one of the toughest....and they may be. I'm not impressed with either conference's South divisions. Or North's for that matter. East and West in both conferences should be the top 4 divisions. But I wouldn't lay too much $ on that either.

So-- this conclusively proves that the Rams have a better than 50% chance of drafting a Pro Bowler at No. 36. Right?

That may be a bit of a stretch, but so long as Snead and company have done their due diligence, we should come out of this with a pretty damn good player.
