I think we need to wait for pads with all the linemen. This includes Hardy.
Knock on Hardy is that he's raw. He doesn't have a bunch of pass moves, so he needs to learn a lot of moves and counters that the Rams are going to teach him. Once he's got that stuff down we might have something, but I'm trying real hard to keep myself from getting too high on this guy during underwear sessions because he is an excellent athlete and should be standing out there.
One key that we'll have to watch for in those padded practices is his contain too. Raw guys who project as pass rushers generally will struggle at this level in the run game. But for the Rams purposes they can play Hollins on run downs and save Hardy for passing situations if he can master enough moves to where OTs won't stone him.
It's a pretty big deal if they hit on him. And generally what that means with the best late round pass rushers historically is you know you have something rather quickly. Granted I'm going off memory here with guys like Kevin Greene, Mecklenberg, etc., so maybe I'm wrong on that count. But if he stays hot as those pads come on then you're gonna see me getting excited.
