Ok about 10 mins before @DVontel gifts the Cards pick to group.

They need an Edge or CB.

I suggest Julian Okwara Edge ND

With pick 73 of the 2020 ROD Mock Draft the New York Football Giants select

Collin Johnson, WR, Texas

rawImage.jpg

Height: 6-5. Weight: 221. Arm: 32.88. Hand: 8.75.

Projected 40 Time: 4.55.

Projected Round (2020): 3-4.

Johnson recorded 38 receptions for 559 yards with three touchdowns in 2019 while missing a lot of time with a hamstring injury. He is a long and linear receiver who has some athleticism. Johnson can sink his hips better than one would expect for such a tall player. Surprisingly, the 6-foot-5, 220-pounder doesn't play jump balls that well for being such a big wide receiver. Johnson has issues tracking the ball and playing it in the air, but he has some movement skills for a larger wideout. He struggles to get off of press coverage, and for being a big receiver, is disappointingly a finesse player. With his size, he should bully defensive backs, but he doesn't have any dog to his mentality.

In 2018, Johnson notched 68 catches for 985 yards and seven touchdowns. He possesses mismatch size, but he does not play as big as he should. He doesn't bully corners or do as well as one would expect at leaping to high point the ball over receivers. Johnson has some quickness, and he can sink his hips better than one would expect for such a big receiver. He has issues tracking the ball and playing it in the air, but he has some impressive movement skills for a big wideout.

According to NFL teams' preseason data provided by team sources prior to the 2018 season, Johnson checks in at 6-foot-5, 220 pounds. He is said to run the 40 in 4.55 seconds. His measurements are 32.63-inch arms, 9-inch hands, and a 79-inch wing span.

Johnson flashed in 2017 with 54 receptions for 765 yards and two touchdowns. He was very impressive against USC and its talented cornerback Iman Marshall. Johnson had 28 catches for 315 yards and three touchdowns as a freshman.

With the 74th pick in the ROD mock draft, the Houston Texans select: Lloyd Cushenberry III, OL LSU

ae05b1c3-cbe0-4ca0-ac0b-1ad8015d00af-USATSI_11422748.jpg

Bio:
For the past 15 years, LSU has given the No. 18 jersey to players that displayed a selfless attitude and played like a Tiger. That number was worn by quarterback Matt Mauck, who led the 2003 LSU squad to its first national title in 45 years. Cushenberry was the first offensive lineman to earn the coveted number in 2019, sharing the honor with defender K'Lavon Chaisson, though NCAA rules required Cushenberry to stick with his 79 jersey (he displayed an 18 patch on his jersey). He wore that badge of honor well as a junior, garnering first-team All-SEC notice and leading the Joe Moore Award-winning offensive line for all 15 games of the Bayou Bengals' national title run. He started all 13 games at center as a sophomore in 2018, one season after contributing as a reserve lineman and on special teams in 11 contests his redshirt freshman campaign. The Carville, Louisiana, native did not get a scholarship offer from LSU until the last minute, when he spurned Mississippi State.

By Lance Zierlein
NFL Comparison
Corey Linsley
Overview
Starting-caliber center with big hands, long arms and good core strength to match power on power when needed. Cushenberry isn't rigid or stiff, but he does have some limitations with lateral quickness, which show up against athletic edge rushers and with potential run game limitations in space. He's extremely difficult to bull-rush and is rarely beaten to the punch in his pass sets. LSU was frequently tasked with five-man protections in its passing scheme, which put Cushenberry on more of an island than he will see as a pro, so scouts should account for that. He's a do-your-job prospect with the strength to handle an odd-front nose and could be a long-time starter.

Ok it’s been over 4 hrs now. The Colts need an OT I think. Can’t believe this guy is still available.

How about Ezra Cleveland?

Well. The Bucs just signed Blaine Gabbert to Backup Brady, so no pressing need for QB here. Was real tempted to go edge here, but:

With the 76th pick of the 2020 ROD Mock Draft the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select

Cam Akers, RB, Florida State

20200403_012316.jpg

Cam Akers was one of the grand prizes of the 2016 recruiting class, named a five-star prospect from 247 Sports. After playing quarterback and running back for Clinton High School in Mississippi, he chose Florida State. That's where he set the freshman record for rushing yards (1,025), breaking Dalvin Cook's record. Akers barely missed any games in his three years with the Seminoles but struggled to thrive on teams with poor coaching and even worse offensive line play. Still, over 3,000 total yards in three seasons is nothing to sneeze at, especially given Akers' pedigree.

Numbers to Know

Height: 5-10 3/8

Weight: 217 pounds

DOB: June 22, 1999 (Week 1 age: 21)

Hand: 9 inches

Arm: 30 5/8 inches

Wingspan: 74 5/8 inches

40 time:
4.47 seconds

Prospect Stats
2019: 11 games, 231 carries, 1,144 yards (5.0 yards per carry), 14 touchdowns; 30 receptions, 225 receiving yards, four touchdowns

In three games against top-25 ranked competition, Akers had 44 carries for 214 yards (4.9 yards per carry) and a touchdown, adding five receptions for 11 yards and a receiving score. Notably, he had 34 rush yards on only nine carries at No. 2-ranked Clemson.

Career: 36 games, 586 carries, 2,875 yards (4.9 yards per carry), 27 touchdowns; 69 receptions, 486 yards, seven touchdowns

Known Injury History
played through ankle sprain, 2018

Strengths
Akers is a well-built strider and cut-back king with good enough burst, acceleration and speed to frustrate defenses. He uses good processing of what's happening in front of him meshed with smooth jump cuts, balance and patience to find his way to open space and create yards. And he's plenty experienced — despite Florida State's terrible offensive line last year (ranked second-worst in the nation by Pro Football Focus), Akers ranked tied for eighth in the nation with 74 missed tackles forced and 12th in yards after contact.

Akers doesn't seem to have much of a learning curve when it comes to pass protection, proving to be a willing and often effective blocker. He's got the build for it, especially with a strong lower body. More importantly, he's a terrific pass-catcher, flashing good hands and a smooth catch-and-go transition to enhance his ability to rack up yards from scrimmage. [Insert: Brady Digs All This]

Concerns

The number 10 looms large. Akers had 10 fumbles in three seasons at Florida State and 10 more in high school. If the trend continues into the pros, his playing time will surely suffer. Akers also had just 10 plays of 20-plus yards for the Noles last year. Granted, his O-line didn't do him any favors, but for all the make-you-miss potential he has, he didn't pull off as many big plays as one might have expected.

There were a handful of plays where Akers just didn't seem to pay attention. One such play was a pass blocking assignment — the defender he took on fell down and Akers stood over him ... as the defender crawled to the quarterback and sacked him. Another was when Akers turned around to the quarterback looking for a pass when the quarterback was running and needed a block. Inconsistent awareness could stunt his development.

Finally, two of Akers' three biggest games last season came against teams ranked lower than 100th in run defense last year (Syracuse and Louisville). He had 256 yards (22.4% of total rush yards) and half of his rushing touchdowns in those matchups.
