Florid and Sims? Sigh...

The ignorance about the Rams is breathtaking. Lol.

Are they always right? Hell no but they give a different perspective and both of them picked the Pats over our Rams and 99.9 of the people on this forum including myself picked the Rams to win last years SB....

Meh. I'm glad these pathetic losers like second-hand Florio and clutch-time INT Simms (when he was underachieving at Texas) bag on the Rams. Gives the Rams another opportunity to shove it in their smug f---ing faces.

I actually listened to one podcast with them not long ago where Simms said he'd rather have Mitch Trubinsky in a 2-minute situation than Goff based on Trubinsky's driving the Bears to FG range against the Eagles in the playoffs even though they lost (never mind it was a home game for them). If Florio was worth more than a dingleberry as a journalist, he would have challenged him by noting that Goff, on the road in a very hostile environment in the NFC title game, drove the Rams for a tying FG and then later a winning FG. But as a poster noted above, Florio hates the Rams, so he didn't and there you can see how his biases affect his outlook and thus render his opinions utterly worthless.

The Rams absolutely have depth. A ton of it now.

QB - arguably the best backup QB in the NFL - how many backups have won a playoff game?
RB - Brown was already good, adding Henderson gives possibly the best depth at RB in the NFL
WR - Reynolds got good playing time last year and would be considered one of the better backup WRs in the NFL IMO
TE - Everett as a backup TE is again, better than what most teams have
OL - unproven rookies, and I'm not going to pretend we have great depth here
EDGE - Fowler/Matthews/Ebukam/Obo - while we have some unproven players, this is pretty good depth
Interior DL - Donald/Brockers/Gaines/JFM/Joseph-Day - JFM solid, the rest are unknowns
ILB - Littleton/Kiser/Matthews/Hager - Hager has been a solid backup for us
CB - Talib/Peters/NRC/Long/Hill/Peterson - arguably the deepest CB rooms in the NFL
S - JJ/Weddle/Rapp/Christian - high draft pick and a guy who played quite a few snaps last year for us - good depth

This team is DEEP. OL is the only real spot that we're lacking any proven depth or a high draft pick. Our DL might seem weaker, but when you combine it with the EDGE defenders, we're in good shape there IMO.

...and the Rams ain’t over loading their roster yet. I trust if they feel thin at OL or ILB they will monitor the waiver wire for help.

There will be a couple of UDFA's that stand out. With the depth the Rams already have, its going to be harder for one of them to make the team, but one or two will and someone will be an unexpected cut.

Well, there are some vets - including some young ones - who could be on the chopping block if they don't impress this training camp. If you're a late pick, you don't necessarily get 4 years to impress the coaches, especially with cap room so tight. They won't cut somebody just to save a small amount - but players in their 2nd and 3rd seasons need to step up or be replaced.
