I HATE Florio.. he went on a local radio spot here in New England and absolutely shit on Goff and co.. says the kid doesn’t have “it.”

What’s worse is rams continue to entertain his interview requests, and I wish they really new how he felt when they aren’t on air.

I’d probably cause a scene if I saw him in person. Prick

Florio gets on my nerves often as well. So does Simms but they are way above the pay grade of many of the NFL media drama queens IMO.

My point is, they both offer good insight even though I have wanted to kick them in the shins on several occasions.

Their constructive criticisms have value even when they include our beloved Rams.

Are they always right? Hell no but they give a different perspective and both of them picked the Pats over our Rams and 99.9 of the people on this forum including myself picked the Rams to win last years SB.

I watch their show all the time even though they both get on my last nerve...

I mean that’s all great and fine... but you can’t convince me to listen to their nonsense.

Any media outlet that goes out their way to offer harsh, unnecessary criticism of our players does not deserve my time of day.

Does any team in the NFL have depth - especially at all positions?

Of course not - the draft and especially the salary cap are designed to prevent that.

The Rams now are gradually building towards having better depth, but there are always issues in the NFL, thanks to an average of 8 draft picks per team, a salary cap, and free agency after 4 years for all but the first 32 picks, which the teams have an option of mandating an expensive 5th year before free agency.

Part of their issue seems to be that there wasn’t a splash FA signing like last year. Suh, Sully, Shields and Mannion are gone replaced by guys like Matthews and Weddle who are past their prime.
Sims says they’ve been lucky with injuries, which is true concerning the o line but there have been plenty everywhere else. Dom Easley was supposed to be a big part of the d line but he was hurt before the season, Peters and Talib got hurt which put a big strain on the d, and then there’s Kupp. I think the super bowl offense would’ve been much different if Kupp is playing.

It’s early, really early, but it looks like Mcsnead has put the team in better position than last year. They have restocked the o line cupboard, they have a legit 3rd corner who should be able to fill in if needed, they got a true nose who embraces the role of Aaron Donald’s valet as well as run stuffer. Something I’m not sure Suh was really all in for. They found someone to not only spell Gurley but to do some different things than TG. And bringing in veterans like Matthews and Weddle who were among the best in their prime, who can play limited snaps and mentor the young guys.
I think the the Rams have gotten deeper and more versatile; the losses of Kupp and Talib had significant impact on the offense and defense. The lack of pass rush was an issue, I feel like pieces are in place and there is redundancy at important positions. I don’t think the Rams are taking a step back, if someone is gonna win the west they’re gonna have to come take it.

This same question about Rams depth is going to persist for the next couple years as we move on from aging veterans to McSnead's drafted youngsters. Older players like Whitworth, Brockers, Talib, Matthews & Weddle are all likely candidates for retirement or becoming CAP casualties within the next year or two, and who knows how much longer Greg Zuerlein's leg will hold up. Sure, some veteran free agents will be brought in, but a team truly measures its future by the quality of their drafts & depth, that and retaining them at the time of their second signing period. The Rams may get a bit younger for 2020 & 2021, but it will all even out, and just because a few ridiculous talking heads can't make out the difference between signing solid young draftees who are hand selected by Snead and his crack group of scouts as opposed to older name brand free agent players they may be a little more familiar with, only suggests they really don't understand how the game or the CAP is played. Quality depth moves up to become quality starting material when properly coached, Snead & McVay are building that solid base to represent a top flight organization for many years, and our depth is looking better than ever. Fisher was a coach who had the youngest team in the NFL for years here, can't the pundits see the difference that solid drafts and coaching offer when measured against a perennial 7-9 team ? The Rams are transitioning from some vets on both the OL and DL, whether that is the difference between another Super Bowl run in 2019 due to a lack of experience or not, only time will tell, but if not 2019, this team will soon benefit from its newly acquired depth. jmo.

Aside from the fact that it is historically difficult to repeat a Super Bowl appearance after losing, this is a full on Doom and Gloom piece.

So let me get this straight. If a team has been relatively healthy for two straight seasons they have no depth? Based on what?

We lost our best WR. An unproven Reynolds stepped in with 400 yards and 5 TD's. A perfect example of depth.

Barron was late to the regular season party with injury, Talib missed half the season. Rams were rolling IIRC during that stretch.

The only way to decide if a team has depth is if they get ravaged by injuries and they can't get up off the floor. I guess its fair to say that the Niners have no depth. Or maybe their starters suck.

Dumb piece in relation to Rams having no depth, the rest is nit picky doom and gloom.

I happen to watch this yesterday. A negative look at the Rams. Like the Rams really are going to get rid of Goff. Ha Ha. Rams made a good deal on Brown thanks to the Lions offer. I get that it's their shtick to get people to watch. Having Brown and Henderson to take the load off Gurley makes for a deep RB with second year Kelly rounding things up. Bortles in improved depth at QB. McVay knows he has to switch up offensive formations more. That will lead to more alternatives on offense should injuries happen. Henderson and Everett will be integrated into the offense from the begging. The WRs are at least four deep. The big question is the depth at O Line with the rookies. Coach Kromer has them cross training which will help if injuries occur.

The Rams will have better depth this year on defense thanks to the last two drafts with Mathews and Weddle.

I wonder which teams have great all around depth. It's hard to find solid starters for every position and even harder to find quality backups. Overall the Rams improved their depth and we still have to get to training camp.

During the Raiders-Chargers "move to Carson" townhall meeting at Carson City Hall, I had a chance to ask Florio :jerkoff:some questions he had no answers for, he dissed me and as he walked away, he said "Phuc the Rams, I've always hated them and always will".

So there ya go. All you need to know where Florio:jerkoff: is coming from when it comes to the Rams.:jerkoff:

Florio has always down talked Goff as far back as I can remember. He did it a little with this one but mostly down talked Gurley's health. He's probably another one who assumed Goff's rookie year made him a bust and can't admit he was wrong.

Now he's on the Superbowl hangover thing talking like its a sure thing. I remember how many people said the Rams would fall flat last season because the 2011 Eagles Dream Team did. I'm sure he was one. They sure didn't fall flat. And he probably doesn't like being wrong.

Just because some past teams who have nothing to do with this Rams team failed, doesn't make it automatic. They already proved that last season. I expect them to come out on a mission this season.

I don't listen to any of these talking heads, for one thing I know more about the Rams than they do. I go to the official site and these message boards for my info on the Rams. I can't stand to listen to all those dumb arses trying to create all this drama. They are just like some little bitches.

I would rather have talented young depth with upside than a team like the Eagles who have a lot of age throughout their lineup and a team that only had a total of ten draft choices over the last 2 drafts.... Especially with this staff's abilty to develop talent.
