GREEN BAY PACKERS
1 Derwin James S
2 Anthony Miller WR
3 Dorance Armstrong OLB
4 Jerome Baker OLB
5 Kevin Toliver CB
5 Andrew Brown DL
5 Rashaan Gaulden CB
6 Ike Boettger OT
6 Jack Cichy ILB
7 Darious Williams CB
I based my entire draft on the Derwinian Theory of Evolution -In order for this team to remain a powerhouse and to make the most of Aaron Rogers last few years - a solid and aggressive young defense was priority #1.
Derwin James is a dream come true at #14
It's cool to see guys like McShay and other expert prognosticators second my pick -
Then it was about replacing Aaron Roger's favorite weapon and I rhink I did that with Miller. This pick appeases the franchiae qb while drafting the best WR in the draft IMO - you gotta keep the main man happy and I think think pick backs that up.
Then addressed our aging LB corp with some really finw pick ups. Armstrong,Baker, and Cichy give Pettine a lot to work with. For me it was all about improving the pass rush. I think we've done that here.
Green Bay had cornerback issues and with Toliver, Gaulden, and Williams i think we have added nice depth and upside to that position after trading Randall to Cleveland.
I really like Boettger and it seems I valued him higher than most - as well as Andrew Brown - we shall aee how that turns out
* what I've learned from this draft - the later rounds are much more fun!
And a lot of great GM's in the making
