I think many of you will enjoy this here at ROD. Something a little lighter than all the stadium discussion. Hope everyone is well. I know there will certainly be some disagreement on some of the picks (which of course if fine). Hope you all enjoy it. Interested to read everyone's thoughts on the 20th anniversary St. Louis Rams all-time 53 man roster:

Thanks for sharing this with us Shane. That's quite an all-star team we have there. Reading the comments after your article I'm baffled by the negativity towards Marc Bulger. His O-line was spotty at best and we know that Mike Martz wasn't overly concerned about protecting his QB's. Bulger did the best he could with the cards he was dealt.

Yes, people forget he was a two-time Pro Bowler here. I think a lot of it had to do with the simple fact that he came right after Warner and the GSOT's peak years so he was in a tough position in many ways in terms of gaining respect from the masses, etc. Thanks for the kind words, Prime Time! Hope all is well my friend. I will try to stay in touch with you more often. Have a great week...

No Quintin Mikell or Danny Amendola?

X, my friend, how are you? It's been awhile. Hope you are doing great.

As for Mikell, I couldn't justify him over the other safeties. One could, however, make a case for Amendola and a strong one at that. He was darn good in St. Louis under less than ideal circumstances.

Also, if I might add, I probably could have (and should have) had Trent Green as another backup ahead of Tony Banks. I chose Banks simply because Green played very little here but, in reality, Green would have been the better choice.

Great list but when you look at some of the backups, slim pickens...Tony Banks? Woof. i think this explains why we have been bad for so long.

I really can't complain much about the list but have to agree with @Big Willie TONY BANKS?/??????EFOJFIDJFJISDJ????? LOL

I can't stand that bastard and would sooner have The Ginger Bread man Sammy B in there than that shit bag.

Doin' pretty good, m'man.

Here's the deal with Mikell. He gave me two tickets to a Rams game (which I passed on to @bluecoconuts), so he wins the fan favorite poll for me. And since I have just appointed myself overseer of all informal lists and polls, I'm gonna have to overrule you.

Now go get your fuckin' shinebox edit that list.

Plus by winning those tickets (which were fucking great tickets), and passing them to me, I was able to use them to help get my girlfriend of the past 3 1/2 years, so it was a win-win-win.

Thanks, Big Willie.. as for Banks, I honestly should have probably placed Green there.

Tony is actually a really great guy... I know he rubbed people the wrong way back in the day but he's matured a lot and is a terrific human being.

In that case, Mikell it is :) Great story, X. I don't blame you for being partial to him based upon that. Very cool.

That definitely sounds like a win-win.... and considering the on-field product, it certainly sounds like your bigger win came off the field via the girlfriend addition ;)

Hi Shane -

I'd probably put Saffold over Robinson at OG just because you KNOW what we got in Saffold.

GRob has shown enough to know we have a very good player here, but at this point is a work in progress.

Lastly; if we really wanted to be "technical" we could put Jackie Slater on the list... He did play in St. Louis in 1995. :sneaky:

I actually like listening to him on Big10 Network and radio interviews but if your taking players at the time they played he was a knucklehead.

I can certainly understand making that move there, CGI. It would make sense. As for Slater, he is already a starter on this team. ;)

In all honestly, I should have probably had Trent Green as the No. 3 QB or Sam Bradford even... Thanks for the kind words.
