Someone needs to send a Safety flying like a heat seeking missile into Hurts’ head on that rugby play
I’ve been thinking six D-Lineman, with two of them lining up right behind the down-DL, was the way to go.

Lots of people piling on the secondary... I too would like to see better tackling from the D-backs, but the Rams had no pass rush yesterday, giving the receivers ALL DAY to get open. No secondary can stop that.

I didn’t think the coverage by the DBs was all that bad, given how much time Hurts had to throw.

The tackling, though…:sick2:

The tackling, a few terrible flags, the amount of time that Hurts had, and those 3 missed big passes are the difference between an L and a big win. I was disgusted at how long Hurts had to pass on many of the plays. Wolford could have had a solid day with that much time. Asking a CB to cover a WR for 10 seconds is a tall task even for the best CB's in the league. Young had some impressive plays, but Hoecht... what exactly does he do well? Did he contribute (to us) at all? Why on planet earch would he ever be tasked with being out there trying to run with and cover anyone? Why not give Mathis some play, he, at least, is athletic. Hoecht needs to be a back up defensive lineman, NOT an edge. That experiment should be shelved.

2 of those 3 just missed long pass plays likely result in 6. That is a huge missed opportunity.

I think all 3 would be a TD since Kupp was behind the CB by a few yards on both those throws

20RT footnote 2…

The record of the Rams’ first five opponents against the rest of the league is 15-5. Truly, a brutal opening schedule.

There is enough tape on Hoecht, Durant and Kendrick to know they can't play at this level.

Having Hoecht cover anyone, let alone down the field, multiple games and getting burned is just idiotic. Shame on you Raheem. That is bush league shit.

Where are the Journalists that need to ask the hard questions? Anyone? Anyone?

Even the announcers point it out.

The critical penalties against Kendrick has directly cost us two games now.

There are the Personell evaluations that need to be made if you expect to get better.

Durant and Kendrick are young so that will always be the excuse to keep playing them.

Stop being stubborn and give Shelly and Tomlinson a chance.

How worse can it get then giving up a TD in 32 seconds by committing two personal fouls and not being able to cover a WR, after doing the same thing a few weeks earlier.
Where are the Journalists that need to ask the hard questions? Anyone? Anyone? we are a laughingstock again, Jounalists are not interested in our fate, we just won a Superbowl. we need to ask the questions to someone who will answer but it's all a big smoke and mirrors thing from the front office and coaches. that's why I believe if they win a few this year, they will be happy and "get em next year." approach. you would figure McVay would seriously address his no running issues, but he won't. the problem is the same decisions get made with the same results. lol.

Yes… because they have better overall talent on offense than we do and don’t need as many opportunities (or, put another way, we have a lower margin for error).

This is also why the defense’s failure at the end of the first half was so huge. Take that away, and it’s a very different ballgame.
Rams scored on 2 posessions seems like last year.
The D allowed long drive after long drive.
Seems like last year.
Good news is, we arent paying as much as last year.
More good news, we arent doing this against every tesm like last year.

Right, push our guys forward. You have to stand them up. Problem is you go lower, you get flattened. You go over your feet are off the ground and they push you backwards. You have to keep your feet on the ground and meet them face to face. Of course they probably still win that play because they have all their players right at the point of attack. It really should be illegal. The only way that happens is if every team can do it. Then it becomes like an extra point and it bores its way into rule change.

I was thinking that the D should just choose 1 side of the Center and throw everything at that one side. At least the odds might be closer to 50/50. And I agree that is a bulkshit play. Pushing from behind used to be illegal. WTF happened?

I went to a football game...
...and a scrum broke out - except the ball is already in play with the offense.

Do we hate the “Brotherly Shove” because it works 95% of the time or because it’s an unfair advantage (like spring boarding off the back of a lineman to try to block a kick)?

Or how about line up even then when the ball is snapped everyone push either left or right and run a couple of guys from the back right into the face of the QB. Maybe we stop the forward momentum enough and get a great shot at the QB. Nobody has the man power to meet them head on and stop them. Make them go sideways.

I hate it because it’s not football. In football, a ball carrier runs tries to advance the ball, and when he’s stopped, the play is over.

Doesn't seem right you have 4 guys behind the ball carrier pushing him in. One guy, no problem. Seems like taking advantage of the way a rule is written. Not the intent of the rule. Remember when Bilacheat all of a sudden in a playoff game against the Ravens, was loosing and started having an eligible player announce he was ineligible? Just cause the rule doesn't say you can't, shouldn't mean you can.
