It was a shitty jacked up good loss. The ONLY thing I dislike about Stafford is those delay of games! He ALWAYS takes it down to 1 or 0 seconds before the balls snapped, happens to many times. No excuse for a delay of game. And MY GOD, what does it take to get Lamar Jackson down, That guys got skills and wheels! Offense and Defense played with heart today, I ain't mad.

If I have to watch another game where AD is held in a choke hold for most of the game, with no calls, I' going Postal!

I wish he would make a big deal about when it happens. I think he would get more calls.
Maybe if he would flop when held he'd get more calls. I saw where the Refs were calling holds when the player was pulled down or fell.

Is he Houdini, or was holding not called to assist in his escape act?
I’d like the Rams coaches screaming at the refs more if there is truly inequity on the holding non-calls. I focused on a couple replays and saw some arms around Donald’s neck and bear hugs against Turner. If these are not considered legal then for god sakes scream at refs not calling it. If it is legal then that’s just the NFL today.

It’s a pity that holding calls (and, in this case, non-calls) can’t be challenged.

McVay’s challenge flag would have needed replacement through overuse today.

If that was the case, you would want it to be that a holding CALL could be challenged. Not to have a play with no penalty challenged to find one. The refs would call more penalties in that case, and sometimes they would be reversed.

My thing while watching the game was the lack of holding calls by the Baltimore Oline. We we throwing every from a pass rushing perspective and nothing.......... I mean nothing called. I mean I give some credit but not once all day. I counted half a dozen on players not named Donald. And as a poster lamented earlier, there has to be some agreement between the officials and the head coach of the other team. "Don't let Donald beat us. He just isn't fair". :not:

Regarding McVay, he is no doubt a supreme motivator, but he continues to make repeated, mind-numbing mistakes at critical times during games. The three straight passes at the end of the opening drive ... unbelievable.
Nine straight running plays and he dares to try the forward pass? What era of football does he think he's in?

Not only that, he kept calling passing plays in the red zone the rest of the game! Yeah, the Rams kept scoring touchdowns, but the audacity.

^^THERE it is!
Have you ever noticed the HOME team NEVER has trouble with THEIR headsets?
This crap has been going on for as long as there has been electronic communications. What an old, dirty trick
….then again, the Ravens are coached by a harblah.

Didn’t anybody notice McVay angrily mouthing the words, “What the fuck happened?” as he was ripping the headset off? Now that shot on the sideline makes more sense, because usually he sprints down the sideline to call a timeout.

The Rams need a better contingency plan in a situation like that. A veteran like Stafford should be able to call a play, rather than wasting a time out or, worse, getting a delay penalty.

20RT Footnote 2…

Best two “defensive” plays of the game:

Lamar Jackson successfully kicking ball out of end zone. If he whiffs, the Rams might have ended up recovering the ball for a TD.

Demarcus Robinson’s pass break up preventing an INT on the final drive in regulation.

Yeah, that was clearly a block in the back the refs decided to swallow their whistle. But Freeman missed what should have been a routine tackle. Our special teams have been far from special this year.

We lost a number of games we had chances to win. I could be disappointed in that and play the what if game. But since for me its always been about the future, I see us winning those games next year. If we make the playoffs then great. If we don't, I'm ok with it. Been a better than expected season for me.

Understand why they did not call the block in the back on the punt return, still need to work on covering punts plus Evans needs to shorten the distance a tad, but leave it high so his coverage can get there.

No excuse for the touchdown aloud on 3rd & 17 plus the game yesterday really underscored the lack of pass rush the Rams have because in order to sack Jackson you need more then one. Opening drive after the running the ball all the way down the field, hard to understand, why you throw it three times in a row I love Coach McVay, but my love is not blind.

Secondary has actually been better then expected, except for yesterday as they proved, it was not an easy game to play. With Havenstein & Hunter Long leaving the game with injuries, the running game suffered IMHO.

Overall, gutsy, plus have to tip my hat to McVay & Blackburn going with Lucas Havrisik over Mason Crosby, I would not have done that. I would be happy to close out winning the rest of the games including beating a 49er team that rests everyone because I just want to beat them. Playoffs I am good either way, but I want them to win the remaining games on the schedule.

I had this game penciled in as a loss all year, although with the winning streak, I did hold out some hope of victory. Regardless, at a high level I think the Rams have maintained their momentum here and can keep moving forward.

I worry that we may drop one of the three winnable games coming up ... let's stay consistent and make the game against the 49ers meaningful for us!
