Yeah, he's done that twice in the last two weeks, looking to turn upfield for a big play. Hopefully he learns from it.
He has done that 3 times this year that I can recall. He just needs to fix his overeagerness (I know that is not a word but fits with what I am trying to say) to make a play

20. That's all I ever really want from this team. I want to enjoy keeping up with them. Give me a reason to care. But ya if they're still playing into the playoffs, that's a plus. What a fun season, seeing these new kids tear it up, behind an OL that finally looks pretty solid.

“Overeagerness” is more gooder than some of the other words you could have used.

I'm just grateful we still got some meaningful football to watch here in late December!

11. Joe Noteboom, apart from giving up a sack in the 4th Quarter, held up pretty well. He'll never be the player we hoped he'd be when the Rams gave him a contract with the expectation that he'd take over the LT spot after Andrew Whitworth retired, but he's a valuable "6th man" on the OL right now (we'll need to talk about that contract at the end of the year, Joe).

I have to disagree on Boom having a decent game. After watching the game again, it was obvious he was bad. Completely whiffing on blocks in the running game and being off balance on several pass blocking plays. His saving grace was Stafford getting the ball out quickly.

There was one play in particular that encapsulates Boom's game as a whole. Rams dialed up a toss play to the RT and boom completely and utterly whiffed on blocking his man in front of him and got up to the second level. Williams was caught in the backfield for a loss but juked the defender out of his shoes and made something out of a potential 4 yard loss.
While boom is serviceable as a backup or limited role the dude just can't seem to find a rhythm blocking in either the run or passing game.
You're right though, we can't move him, not with his dead cap hit of 15mil next year. A terrible move paying him starter money who can't seem to beat out an UFA @ LT. I'm not sure what they ever saw in him to begin with.

I trust that he's playing because the coaches see him as the best option, and I'm not one to presume I know better. His warts, though, have me thinking that CB is going to be among our "areas to upgrade" this offseason.

FWIW, I am guessing 12 is in the same boat as me with Kendrick. People have tended to focus on the negatives and ignore the positives.

You did not do that at first, however, you did it here talking about his "warts" and upgrading the position, so it seems the sense that it would devolve to that point was spot on.

Pointing out that he got beat a few times is factual - but then discussing upgrading him proves that 12 expressing that opinion made sense too.

For me, it just feels like at every turn people want to bash Kendrick, most likely because they don't like him.

He's currently a low-end number two CB with potential who was for some reason asked to cover McClaurin, AJ Brown and Deebo one on one in critical situations.

It's like being mad at Jackson or Noteboom for getting beat one on one by Nick Bosa.

Sure.....be mad I guess? There are a handful of dudes in the world who can actually cover those guys one on one.

The offense moved the ball all afternoon with Boom in the lineup. For a backup, which is what he is now, that’s good enough.

Again…I’m not saying he should not be playing right now. I do, however, expect us to bring in a CB or two this offseason to compete for the starting jobs.

I'm just extremely happy to be where we are. The overwhelming majority of Ram fans predicted 5 or 6 wins and a top 10 pick. DK? Noteboom? Havrisik? What song lyrics come to mind? Don't worry, be happy.

My biggest issue again isn't the player. He is who he is. My problem is paying that player $15,000,000 this year.

Well damn, I will have to rag on Morris then.

No blue font needed there. One on one coverage with their best WR was questionable with Ramsey (see Evans long TD in the 2021 divisional round late in the 4th when we were up two scores).

With any of our current CBs that's just.....not smart.

Ernest Jones had a great game. This really stuck out to me after rewatching the game.

I think Raheem needs to use him even more rushing the passer up the middle. That is where he really
Excels.

In this game he also really
Excelled in the short yardage run game. He’s best attacking not read and reacting.
