Hello all,

I'm planning on going to my first Sofi experience for Rams vs Vikings 10/24 on Thursday night with a buddy. I don't have the tickets yet though we're going to be purchasing them in the next few days.

My main questions are for those who have gone to Sofi before and what's the best course of action. We plan on taking an Uber there and back... about a 30-40 min drive I think? Also want to avoid the worst traffic so I want to get there no later than 3 hours before game time if that works. Can any of you who've been there done that offer any do's and don'ts as far as getting to and from the stadium and other helpful advice on game day? Would also love to meet up with any ROD fans who also plan on going.

I hope you a great time. I’m in PA, so it’s not likely that I will ever get there. My son keeps trying to convince me, but that would be an expensive trip.

That plan of Uber and getting there 3 hours ahead gives you more than enough cushion. Have a blast

Let's see if they do the below this year but it was the best way in and out of the stadium. Uber in is easy but Ubering out, you may want to walk out and away from the stadium for a while before you get an Uber out. Getting out of the stadium is a sh*tshow. Last time I went, I parked in El Segundo near the metro line, took the line to this stop and then took the bus in, the bus gets you in and out super clean and preference when there's traffic. I think as this says, you can even park for a reasonable rate at this bus stop.

Thanks for the link! Yes we want to avoid any sh*t shows before or after the game so hopefully they have that transit system this year. I don't think we'll have a car to drive there since we're both coming in from another state then flying back home the next day. Me from the east coast, him from Vegas. So we may even try to stay at a nearby Motel 6 or something for 2 days if we don't stay at his rich Aunt's house in Long Beach.

So the 8:15 pm game will end after 10 pm. Is it relatively safe to walk from Sofi to the transit pickup after the game? I usually don't go out that late to avoid any riffraff.

Use the Transit Pick up is in the parking lot close to the north end of the stadium, it's the easiest way out !
It is not the best place to be walking around, but the police will be out in force after the game. -- the -- Fatboy

I feel the same way, I try to catch them in Indy,Cincinnati or Nashville

I won’t go to Philly or Pittsburgh. The Eagles crowd is notoriously hostile to opposing fans. In recent years, Pittsburgh fans have become similarly hostile. I’ve had some friends who had some bad experiences there.

Agree with @Fatboy , use the bus and metro light rail lines with LA Metro’s website to see where the stops are with parking. On main line transit, security will be beefed up on game days.

As several have mentioned, getting a rideshare out ain’t easy. The buses will be ready to go and warming up in the lots and will depart when full.

All this info is really helpful thanks all. Mojo yeah we and others who end up going can meet someplace and have a beer or something. I limit myself to 1 or 2 for the night since I'm not a big drinker. Just a whistle-wetter! I won't be having a tailgate myself but might do the area walk through and give a cheer and raise a fist to those who do.

There seems to be a lot to take in at Sofi once getting there so I'm sure I'll figure stuff out once I arrive 2-3 hours before game time. The whole get there and leave was my biggest concern.

BTW my best friend I'm going with is a long time Viking fan since the mid-70s. Pretty laid back guy never a jerk and since he's paying for my ticket too I won't razz him to bad!

We parked in a parking garage and then walked right out front to get on the bus. It dropped us off right in front of the garage after the game. It was very easy. My sister found it on a website. Maybe the Metro site?

Been there a couple times, as you can tell from my pic one of those was the SB!!!

Ubering there will be no problem.

Id plan to walk to the Sizzler by the Forum after the game and catch an Uber from there. Will be much easier than around the stadium.

If you can try to do a tour, I thought it was pretty cool. Allocate some time to browse the pro shop, they have some neat items I dont find elsewhere. Not cheap but nothing is nowadays. You can also customize a jersey there, I did that and got 88 on the front and 21 on the back.

Enjoy it and root hard the the horns, thats gonna be a sweet trip. If you can do a Dodger Stadium tour, that is EXCELLENT!!

I wouldn't worry about it if you use these buses, they pick you up on stadium property.

If you're walking a couple blocks away from SoFi at night to pick up an Uber, I think you're fine, I've done it enough, but I can see if you're not familiar with the area it might not feel comfortable.

I can see that. I went to a Dodger game a few weeks ago. Ubering in was the best idea; Ubering out was the worst.

I fully agree with this!

I arrived to a game 3 hours early in an Uber. What I found is the gates weren't open to get inside the stadium. And, there were no restaurants or bars to go to. We had nothing to do and just sat in front of the lake waiting for the gates to open. It got boring real quick. I would time it to arrive 2 hours early instead of three.

Now, maybe I screwed up and there was something open or something to do, but I couldn't find anything, and like I said, just sat around doing nothing for a couple hours.

If you’re into that sort of thing, the pink lot is where they host the tailgates. It’s definitely an interesting visual, seeing all the Rams tailgate gear, interacting with other Rams fans, and worth killing at least an hour of your time if you arrive three hours early.

I will be making my first trip to SoFi as well this year! For me it involves a pricey plane ticket and also a hotel. Let's hope we both see a big Rams WIN!
