I honestly can't recall whether 'the Dude' personally invited me or not, probably not, although I can remember a general memo or two announcing a RamStalk alternative. I do specifically remember Dag inviting me over sometime after his being ridiculously banned. 7-8 years ago I was used to the pace and addiction of how quickly the posts moved at RamStalk, that and how terrible I thought RRF was prevented me from making an earlier move. Ultimately, it was the city wars between St.Louis fans & Los Angeles fans that decided the matter, there was a lot of bitterness and controversy, and many long time internet friendships became fractured, ... either way, the PD forum had long before become a dumpster fire of poor moderators. With the PD Rams forum basically being at civil war, the decision to move on became relatively easy.
I may have the honor, at least the distinction, of perhaps being the only RamStalk member to be banned and brought back a week later by popular demand as Ramaro began a successful write-in campaign after Mike Smith dispatched me for simply quoting anothers post. For that, i'll always feel indebted to Ramaro and the many Rams Talk members who signed on to the petition which made for my return.
Without question, this is the best Rams forum i've ever been part of, and being around awhile, i've belonged to a few. At my age, I also suspect this will be my last Rams forum, but know that this outlet you provide is incredibly appreciated, even if I do get a bit salty on occasion. Thank You, and lets do this again in another 10 years.
