Event details

Rules and general information.

This is a straight pick'em scored on a weekly basis. Just pick the team you think will win each particular game. All 17 weeks count.

Scoring:
Each incorrect pick will score 0 points. Each correct pick will score 19 points + or - the handicap listed on ESPN's Pigskin Pick 'em game. All ½ points will be rounded down. Thus a winning 2½ point favourite would score 16 points whilst a winning 2½ point underdog would score 21 points. There is a maximum handicap limit of 14½ points. Handicaps outside this limit will be treated as 14½ points so there will be a minimum of 4 points and a maximum of 33 points available for each winning pick.
Half points will be awarded for tied games so a 2½ point favourite would score 8 points whilst a 2½ point underdog would score 10½ points. In a change to 2016. In a change to 2016 scoring tied scores will be reduced by the favourites score. In this example the favourite scores 0 and the underdog scores 2½ points. This makes things easier to score on the Percentage Leaderboard.
The ESPN handicaps and the points value choices will be posted on the 19-Handicap thread in the Sportsbook forum:

Games:
Scheduled Thursday games will be excluded from official scoring. All other games will count - this includes Saturdays and the early Sunday starts in London. This is mostly because some people forget to make picks before Thursdays and then they don't want to play because they think they're miles behind everyone else.

Prizes:
Each of the 17 weekly winners will receive 4% of the total prize fund.
The 3rd place finisher in the overall competition will receive 4% of the total prize fund.
The 2nd place finisher in the overall competition will receive 10% of the total prize fund.
The winner of the overall competition will receive 18% of the total prize fund.

Good luck to everyone playing along. It should be a lot of fun. (y)
