Name a place you’ve been or a thing you’ve done that you enjoyed, but never need/wish to go to/do again.

Mine:

Place: Egypt - really cool seeing pyramids, but don’t need to see again.

Thing: helicopter tour. Did one on Maui on my honeymoon. Too many accidents - would not take that risk again.

Good topic
I'll second the helicopter ride in Maui, my wife and thought it was a great idea, to do on our last day. Good lord, getting on the plane 6-8 hours later and my wife still in a catatonic fear induced state. Lol

Place: Paris, specifically the Eifel Tower. Yeah, cool view if you can fend thru the crowd to get near enough to see it
Thing: The Mona Lisa, stand 10 deep, hoping to get within 50 feet of the painting that is encased in glass and only as big as a computer monitor

I did the Helicopter ride in Maui too - sheesh

Tulum - nice to see once but no need to see again

Oregon Caves and all the other caves I have seen - once is enough

Gettysburg/All other civil war battle sites - once was cool

California gold rush area

Hearst Castle

Hmmm - spotting a trend here - my mom was a history nut

It’s a tie: 1) Well I was a jet boat navigator in Gold Beach, Oregon doing 85 mph up the Rogue River with my best friend piloting the boat. Pulled 2nd place. A hell of a lot of fun! But I’m good.

2) I rebuilt/rebodied a 1986 Suzuki GSXR 650 after getting my endorsement and rode that bike a few times and realized I’m getting too old and sold it.

Seems like helicopter rides are a theme here.... When in the Navy, I flew out to the USS Constellation at sea. Seeing that huge ship looking like a speck in the ocean was a mindblower. I was a little unsettled after the emergency speech before flying, which was pretty much kiss your ass goodbye if the copter had a catastrophic failure.

In my brief time on the Connie during flight operations, a helo waited for permission to land and it ran out of fuel. Everyone onboard died and few seemed to really care around me. That ship was the big city and made me steer away from big ships for a destroyer, where everyone knew your name.

Been there, done that for carriers and copters.

Twin engine ride over the Grand Canyon on a windy day. Beautiful ride, but don't count on keeping down your breakfast.

Rode in the co-pilot seat on my father-in-law's Bonanza...never anxious about flying again. It seemed more like driving a car instead of riding a bus in the main cabin on American Airlines.

Playing golf at Kapalua.

Augusta National - would go again, but tickets are difficult to get.

For me, growing up in Arkansas, going to see the Rams in the Coliseum in 2017 was very emotional...they were back in the home that I remembered as a kid.

Disney World - don't need to go again.

Shuttle lauches were really something to see in person right there at the Cape. Amazing. I can see launches from the Cape from here in Central Florida on clear days no problem... but that doesn't even compare to being there at the Cape.

My favorite shuttle launches were the night time launches. I was able to watch one of the night launches from my Grandfather's boat out in the Atlantic Ocean just on the border of where they allow you to be. That was the most amazing one for me. The night launches even from my house really light up the sky way more than you would ever imagine... but out there on the water where it looked like it was directly over you was nuts.

Definitely not something that most Locals would drive over to the Cape for a 2nd time though. Hell, half the time they get scrubbed in the last few seconds anyway. And the traffic trying to get out of Brevard County after is beyond insane. So Been There, Done That is a great description for those.

Side Note... I watched the Challenger launch from my backyard. Will never be able to forget that. I was a puke freshman in college then.

Another coo-coo Side Note with launches from the Cape... One of my first memories, if not my very first memory, was the 1st moon launch (when they landed on the moon). My family went over to the Cape for it and had my 2 year old ass with them. It was such a sight that it definitely made a perma copy in my memory bank. Weird how that worked at such a young age.

I got layed off, cashed in some stocks and went to St Thomas. My biggest requirement was getting hotel room right on the beach and be able to be served cocktails in the pool. Check.

being on pit road when tony stewart did 5 laps in his indy car @ charlotte motor speedway prior to the "T-Rex" winston race. i think he hit 207 mph as his fastest.

being on pit road (i see a pattern) at the 1997 ARCA Daytona 200 race. i was cleaning the car with our sponsors product, and series sponsor and all the other teams sent people over to see what i was doing and then they took their own cans (we had to distribute it to all race teams) and started cleaning their cars thinking i had given our team some magical advantage.

i was in the staging area for NHRA event @ Kirkersville, Ohio and while watching pairs qualify i wasn't using my binoculars and someone next to me takes them and as I look up to see who has them I recognize Don Prudhomme watching the tire tracks of his drag car with the binoculars.
