Considering everything us Rams fans have been through since the 2004 season, I've gotta say this season has been a huge success no matter what the outcome of tomorrow's game is.

We've been competitive in every game this year and even beat a few teams we were supposed to lose to. We were served a schedule that had us traveling the most miles in NFL history, I believe, and what'd our guys do? Go 8-1 away from LA. That's ridiculous.

Our young coach not only has shown that he belongs in this league, but that he is one of the absolute best and most creative offensive minds in the game. He created this offense thats responsible for the greatest PPG swing in NFL history, and he's also shown he's capable of leading a group of men and installing his brand of humility-- which everyone has seemingly bought into 100%. His ability to self reflect and adjust is incredible. Look at how he got away from using Gurley, suffered through some tough losses, reflected on his play calling, and then helped put Gurley in a position for talks about league MVP. And the way that he's brought Goff up to speed... amazing.

I've got a great feeling that we're set up for success for a long time with the pairing of Demoff, Snead and McVay. That Phillips guy isn't too bad, either.

I'm going to enjoy the hell out of tomorrow nights game, win or lose. The post season is back for our Rams! Here's to stomping the franchise we last played in the playoffs. Its only fitting, right?

GO RAMS!!

Midway through the 3rd or 4th TC practice, VetRamFan and I agreed we were seeing something special. the defining moment came in the 2nd half at Dallas when the Rams came out and turned the game around. From that point I knew the Rams had playoff capablility. They have gotten better game by game. I feel they've not reached their potential. If they lose to the Falcons I will still be a very happy camper knowing this season was not a fluke and next year they will be better. The future is bright for the Rams and us Fans.

Tomorrow the Rams are going to put together their best game of the season in all three phases of the game and beat the snot out of the Falcons.

I have thought of posting a similar OP as Zodi did, because I feel the same way. But at this point, I want a helluva lot more than just becoming a good team or becoming a playoff team. This team can go far into the playoffs, which includes to the Super Bowl....and once there, could win it. Call me greedy, but I have seen more in this team this year so expect more. I want more. Yep, I'm a greedy bastid.

We've been competitive in every game this year and even beat a few teams we were supposed to lose to.

That's one way we can tell this team has turned the corner. In every meaningful game (I exclude the finale against those posers from the Bay Area), the Rams always had a chance to win well into the 4th quarter. On the flip side, several of our opponents - the Giants, the Texans, the Seahawks in Seattle - entered the 4th quarter with virtually no chance to pull out a win while we were beginning to rest our starters.

Another metric - after each of the four meaningful losses, the Rams managed to string together at least two consecutive wins. That showed that they could learn from their mistakes and rebounded well. That also means that, at no point during the season, did the Rams lose two in a row. How long has it been since we could say that?

Now, time to clip the Falcon's wings!

This team really came together. But when I saw Whitworth chase down Ingram in the Chargers preseason game. I was stunned. A veteran, who didn't need to, but felt it was required. I knew that attitude would rub off. Then watching Sean McVay work his magic and never act like he was the one who made the difference, screamed out there was a difference, in what was coming together. The Chowboys game was another. The effort, and the almost success against Seattle was another high mark. No we didn't succeed, but playing our worst....we still had a chance. Yes, the Vikings game tempered my thoughts. But we were only a few plays off. We stepped up the next week, where our past teams just erode, after a loss like that. Every week we lost, the next week we came back w/ a vengeance. Yes, I expect this team to go deep into the playoffs.......but right now....I feel we are playing w/ house money. And it feels great. Yes, however it plays out over the next few weeks will create a mindset of expectations for next year. But this one. I am going to sit back and enjoy the ride.
Thank you Sean for coming here. You started to ball rolling. Just keep it going.........

Living in the SF Bay Area, I need at least 1 playoff victory to be happy. Otherwise it's not going to be so great living up here. That being said I have always had hope at the beginning of each season and this season has been great to watch unfold. After 3 games of the '99 season I knew we had the best QB I'd ever seen play for us and now I'm pretty well convinced we have the best coach I've experienced (fan since "65).

I feel that the Rams have done waaaaay more than I ever expected this year! That of course doesn't mean that I don't want more, but not only did we get a winning record, we won our division and got a home field playoff game.

Over the last 10 years I have consistently said one thing every year.....It's the Rams job to entertain their fans, not the other way around. Their job is to put an entertaining team on the field. They have done that.

I want more, but I am proud of the Rams for the first time in 10 years!

The Chowboys game was another.

After attending demoralizing defeats at the hands of DAL, it was an incredible experience to be there for that game!

The feeling I had leaving that building is indescribable. Euphoria comes closest.

No matter the outcome tomorrow night, I am grateful for this season... I am grateful to be proud again!

I know I'm old, but this season has reminded me a lot of 1973. The Rams lost 27 - 16 to Dallas in the playoffs, but you knew they would be back. However, Dan Quinn ain't Tom Landry and Matt Ryan ain't Roger Staubach. Go Rams.

Same here.

Back in August, I would've been happy with an 8 or 9-win season. So they've exceeded my expectations already. Now they're playing with house money - a postseason win would be a big bonus.

I feel the same @Zodi. That's one of the reasons I'm so pumped for this game. Falcons can't rain on this parade.

But I also know they won't, because the Rams gonna stomp that @$$.

Start of the year I said I’d be happy with 8-8 I’d have taken 7-9 ...I loved the Mcvay hire but he has exceeded my expectations and the guy straight up knocked it out the park and built one hell of a team and I think we are will be a fixture in the playoffs for as least as long as Mcvay is here .. proud of my team proud of the likes of Gurley and Goff

And most of us tour of us diehards that have stuck though a decade of crap and this is for us tonight

Agreed! We’ve already won no matter the result!! It would be a great thing though to win today! I think this team rocks Atlanta today.

BTW: I got my 2 year old granddaughter Eva to say “Rams Win!” for the first time today! She has a Rams cheerleader outfit she’ll wear for the game as she sits with me. I’m donning my number 30 Kevin Payne player-worn Rams jersey as well! Simple pleasures. Dilly dilly!

Damn near brings a tear to my eye. Suffered much with this team since the 70s, but never happier than when they play well. I honestly did not expect this kind of turnaround. Didn't see it coming after Trent went down in 99 either. Keep surprising me Rams. You can dooooooo eeet!!!

This season has been fun to watch and there have been several key points in the season where you saw this team turn a corner. I know the Dallas second half has been mentions but I personally think the most important one was the loss to the Eagles. That game was pumped up as a possible NFC Championship preview between two of the teams playing the best football. The Rams looks great but came up short and it was after that game that McVay admitted he should have leaned on Gurley more when they were ahead. This is the point that Gurley absolutely exploded down the stretch as McVay utilized him more which also helped Goff and the passing game. I think this lesson will be the one that carries the Rams through the playoffs and into the future!

I no longer get pissed, cursing etc during games.
The potential that has been on the team for years has been realized, the talent improved and the future is bright.
I am very happy with this team and satisfied.
This should be the first year of an extended run of success.
