Under Fisher, we've yet to consistently beat teams we should. Plus, Chip Kelly is a wildcard.

It's obvious that there are Fisher haters... and they like to take shots at him whenever possible.

But Fisher has made our team a beast against the NFC West. His record against our Division is extremely respectful.

The biggest haters of Fisher are the coaches and players in the NFC West... because he kicks their asses on the regular.

If we come out and punch them in the mouth for the first quarter or so I bet they lay down.

Hard game to project.
Players don't have in season legs yet and facing that hurry up O. Have to lots of rotation on the D. His Onis a running and short/safe passing O mostly. Broken tackles lead to big plays. Which team tackles better may determine this game.

I'm an adult, so I don't subscribe to the pettiness of the idea of being labeled a "hater." Sorry, but facts are facts. We consistently underperform against teams we should blow out, like this 49ers team. Thus, "trap game."

Should be a great game for the defenses.

Beware the trap game !
:thinking:With all the "Rookie Players" on the Team, and remembering how last Season ended w/ a 49er Win, I don't think Fisher will let the Team get into that kind of Mind-Set!(y);):fuelfire:

I would love to see the 49ers finish 0-12-4 and I hope the 4 are versus AZ and SEA.

I've gotta say, the 49ers are a wounded duck and there's really no reason why a competent team can't win there this year. Granted, it's the first game of the year and there's a lot of rust still to knock off, but I'll be really disappointed if we don't beat them.

We've seen a Fisher team come out flat at the beginning of the season. Hopefully he has them ready.

I'm not worried because I really believe the Rams will win this year, but that could change on the very first play.

I'll try to remember to add the word "adult" before hater when I address you going forward. Not gonna make any promises though.

You mean, like last year's season finale??
Last year the Rams were 4-2 in the division, which is good and all, but they were 3-9 the previous 2 years so I'm not so sure Fisher has the NFC west on lockdown either

The Rams traditionally lose to weaker teams. Aside from 1985 we've always played Chicago well and SF well. I think it's gonna be a victory for sure

Aren't we are still the youngest team in the NFL ??

What's it been? 4 years running now.... I saw nothing compelling in the preseason to make me think this team is ready to dominate

We have tins if young players and the vets we had like JJ and McLeod, Long and JL are gone - so it feels like an even younger team. Don't see how all of a sudden we are gonna be that much better than last years version

Cutting Roberson bothers me, what's the inside scoop there? I see zero depth at corner

The handling of Goff hilarious to me. What are they saving him from? Being as good as Case Keenum? Or is it so he can grow into that legendary Boras offense.... I don't mean to be so unimpressed but there has got to be something for me to cheer for.

In the end this team will win or lose with Gurley

And it's a lot to ask of a young RB who Fisher doesn't even let get touched in practice.... I don't know

Just not another losing season
8-8

It's not a good idea imho to assume the 9ers are a dumpster fire, or to underestimate any opponent. The 9ers will play strong D up front and run creative plays and formations on O. These will challenge our D to match up correctly with personnel and to show we have grown up in terms of play recognition so we do not give up long plays. Obviously SF lacks playmakers on O, and if we play our A game we will win, but if we turn the ball over or fail to take advantage of scoring opportunities we could lose.
