I agree....in all honesty, I am impressed with the speed with which the Hawks FO is willing to part ways with a guy that isn't a great fit...yeah, knock em for not seeing it before the trade with the Vikings,( hindsight being what it is) but I commend their speedy resolution. Say what ya will about em, they built a quality team over there...much as I hate em :double: they ain't the first team to get the short end of a trade...frankly, the Vikes hold that record

Like how we parted with Warner ?

Richardson is also a twig. He weighs as much as Tavon while being ~4 inches taller. And it's not like Tavon is a big guy.

Just not sure Richardson can take a hit or break tackles like Harvin can. He's fast, but that's basically it.

This. Richardson is a twig. He's a pure deep threat. He definitely cannot run with the ball in his hands like Harvin.

If it's to clear up cap space, why now? The only thing I can think of is that the Jets are desperate for offense, but something seems fishy.

As a Hawks fan, I can tell you that we aren't happy about it....but there's got to be something going on behind the scenes that we don't know about. We were shocked when we got him, and now we're even more shocked that he's gone.

I liked most of what we have seen from him, but we have gone away from our normal offense in order to try and force the ball to him....and that kind of blew up in our face last weekend against Dallas.

As for us justifying the trade....we've had faith in the front office before and it has mostly worked out positively, so most of us have faith that they are making the right decision here. This FO hasn't been afraid to move away from players who weren't working out and it hasn't bitten us in the butt....time will tell whether this one does or not.

I don't care what the Seahawk fans have to say. Nothing against the OP , just saying.

It's pretty standard here and on other Rams boards to post what the next opponent's fans are saying about the game.

The threads are clearly marked though if you'd rather avoid them.

Reports are that he was a negative in the locker room. He got into two fights, one of which was at Super bowl practice with Golden Taint. I'd punch that donut stealing punk too if I had the chance!

The fights must have been bad because lots of teams have that go on.

The trade was a bad idea to begin with. The Seahawks have this chip on their shoulder and are a tight unit. Carroll coaches that way. Bringing in a Diva probably didn't sit well with a lot of the players.

The trade was for a 6th round pick, which could be a 4th if the Jets keep him on the roster next year.

Wow. That's horrible for the seahawks. Gave up a 1st and will have $7mil in dead money next year and got only 3 games out of him last year and has not done shit this year. He did have a great game in the SB though, but they would have won even without him. They have a very good GM, but nobody is perfect. Big time whiff and just shows how dangerous big signings in FA can be.

Ya have to KNOW Carrol was on board with it maybe even begged for the original trade.
Thing is now, Harvin was one of a group thug types Seattle has on it's roster several of those guys are upset over the trade and IMO they got rid of only part of the problem ,so theer could be rifts now between many players and the coach, the coach and the GM sounds like Martz v Zigmunt potential. Last week they hardly used Lynch in the second half ,with the late week trade it's hard to see how Carrol can calm things down with the short notice .
Gotta take advantage of this opportunity.

My question is :

If he was a disruption in the locker room prior to the SB and in the preseason, why wait until now to trade him? Or did Lynch have some sort of an input in keeping him since they are pretty close friends

Obviously I don't know but I would guess that he did something or said something in the last few days that was the straw that broke the camels back. They knew he was a bad attitude diva, and he had already been in two bad fights and was a locker room problem so something had to make them throw up their hands and say fuck it.

We will probably find out eventually but I'd bet it was another fight. He seems like the type to escalate an argument into something physical.

Read my post, "Nothing against the OP , just saying." I know its standard etc... At this point with the Rams record etc... doesn't have the appeal anymore. Yhat's why I put the disclaimer in not to offend the OP.

I wouldn't know who to root for in a fight between Harvin and Taint. Two entitled asshats.

Was it ever proven Taint slept with Wilson's wife or is that just suspected? One guys shagging your wife, another is suspected of organizing a revolt against you? Maybe Wilson needs to work on his people skills, doesn't sound like he's as popular with people who know him as he is on ESPN.

Fair enough. I usually don't see a point in posting in a thread that you're not interested in the topic, but it makes more sense (to me at least, I may be dense) with the explanation. Have a good one.
