That was a tough old matchup in Seattle, but we came away with a 5-0 record, which I'm sure EVERY Ram fan is over-the-moon with. I'll start with what I've picked up from week 5.

1. Goff: BOOM! This boy is legit, System QB's Rule!! His passing is awesome, but what impresses me most, after a bad play, int or failed 1st Down, it doesn't seem to effect him, he just takes it in his stride, and when he comes back on the field, the previous errors are forgotten about and it's back to business as usual. I think he now nows he (and this offense) can take on any other QB in the league. His balls taking that QB sneak at the end was also commendable.

2. Zebras: This is one of the worst games I've seen for a long time, it was almost as if the Rams weren't supposed to win or something, no holding calls / PIs, disgusting hits on Ram players aside, this officiating team should be investigated - thats a thought actually, do games get reviewed on tape with the Zebras being analysed for poor refereeing / missed calls and can they be pulled over the coals for it?

3. Defence: We got a bit exposed this week, I'm not sure if Peters is 100% or not, but as I mentioned on another thread, change of direction looks slow which is putting him half a step behind, I wonder if Talib would be on the field he'd be playing or sitting a couple of games?

4. Greg the Leg: The sooner he gets back the better. That missed PAT could have been costly - so glad Santo made that FG though - but my heart is in my throat every time a kick is to be taken at the moment, and for an area of the game where we used to excel I don't like it...

5. WR depth: Now don't get me wrong I know we need Kupp and Cooks back on the field, but Reynolds and Hodge, came in and were dependable, you couldn't ask for more, the confidence Goff has in his ability to place the ball in the best position for whichever WR is amazing.

6. Red zone production: I mentioned it last week that it need to improve, I'm still not happy, I'm not sure if it's McVay's play calling or not, but it is an area we HAVE to improve, we can't leave points on the filed (Red zone Ints, or a FG instead of 7 etc)

7. Littleton: I'm liking what he's bringing to the table on ST

Honorable mention
Russell Wilson: I don't like the guy, I'm always worried when we play against him, he sure can make plays!

That the NFL fixing games through the refs is still alive and strong. It is actually getting worse, since they didn't fix small meaningless games. Who do they owe a favor too? Did they promise Kraft that the Patriots will be the only undefeated team in the league? Or did Pete do some whining and said the Seahawks owner needs a win to keep his spirits up?

Either way, the better team prevailed. Years ago the bad calls guaranteed the Rams would lose.

I learned that we need to do a better job in the red zone. Forget fgs just give the ball to Gurley 4 times. Maybe come up with some jumbo package where we use Noteboom as a TE.

On defense some players ,not just Peters, need to take a look in the mirror. These guys need to play hard all game, not just the 4th qtr.

Last but definitely not least a road win against a division rival is very sweet. :yess:

Seattle is a hard place to play, not matter what

Our defense needs to work on stopping the run, keeping Peters focused .

Offense looked good, could of scored more if cupp and cooks were in all game

I learned that we have a very good team. The Seachickens had everything going for them in that game and the Rams were still able to beat them. This is what good teams do, they overcome and win. Bad teams like the Rams use to be under Fisher always lose these games. It looks like the Seachickens and that little cheerleader of a coach are going to learn that this year.

I've learned I will probably skip the GDT for a while, the negativity just makes it less fun watching the game. I've also learned this team is tough and plays together with a lot of heart and has earned this 5-0 start.

I avoid it during the games. I generally read through it after the game. Puts a whole different spin on it, after the fact. But you are right, lots of chicken-little negativity.

The NFL claims that they do and that there's remediation or punishment for poorly performing refs. Somebody on the board even threw a fit at me for suggesting it doesn't happen.

However, the proof is in the pudding. Too many incompetent referees for too long.

Unde Fisher it would have been 6-3 to the Rams on FGs..

What I think I learned:

1. The Seahags haven't fallen as far as I though and wanted. Their offensive line isn't as bad as last year. They have hard runners. I still hate them and their coach.

2. The Rams offense continues to roll with Goff leading the way even with injuries to the wide receivers. Gerald Everett can be another weapon.

3. The Rams offense can get better in the red zone.

4. The Rams defense still a work in progress. They did make stops in the 4th quarter.

5. Good teams find ways to win on the road in a hostile environment against division rivals. Rams are a good team.

Nothing wrong with the offense... but Wade needs to figure out better schemes on defense.

Can't count on the offense to bail you out too many times (MAN, I never would have thought I'd type those words two years ago!)

Yeah, Paul Allen, being the smart guy he is, specifically designed the stadium using the input of audio engineers to be very loud very quickly.

It's such and advantage that the practice is now forbidden. Seattle is gonna be a tough place to play as long as they're in that stadium.

I don't know what it is but the officiating always seems to be worst in Seattle than anywhere else, it almost looks like blatant cheating.

It definitely looks like blatant cheating (just like the 01 SB). I think it might be. This level of officiating incompetence, or what looks to be outright attempts to affect the competitiveness or outcome of games, is the biggest threat to my continued fandom.

I've watched over 15 games 1 through game 5 and the officiating throughout is horrible. I also agree it seems officials have been instructed to favor a team.

NFL front office needs to address this as fans start believing games are being fixed.
