Ebu getting less time than Obo and about the same as Hollins. Brockers getting less time this week, Gaines getting more.

Like seeing performance starting to dictate snap counts on defense.

I like to see more of Hollins and in fairness, Greg Gaines is beginning to make some plays.

Ebu getting less time than Obo and about the same as Hollins. Brockers getting less time this week, Gaines getting more.

Hollins has gone from (I think) 1 play a few weeks ago to 29% of snaps week 4.
Growing into his role for sure.
He made a few plays as well.

Gaines had a solid game.
As did Joseph-Day.
Hollins certainly seems like a player.
Ebukam and Oko both made some plays yesterday.....don’t know if that says more about the opponent or those guys playing better.

I definitely noticed Obo and Hollins in action a lot. Gaines as well had a few big plays. Now just more consistency from them would be great and get Lewis back and into the mix.

IMO, Hollis is a better OLB'er than ILB'er. Gaines is playing better too.

Very surprised at the lack of use Henderson got.

The Gnats would have been the perfect run d to hit with both backs.

Hendo was real sore after the Buffalo game.

But I really think this was a game where McVay was taking measures to protect certain players.

McVay does say he doesn’t take any team for granted but in reality you use Non starters in games like this to avoid injury.

Think about the Heavy use of Everett, Reynolds and Brown.

A big reason why drives stalled.

1 Fumble by Everett
2 Brown unable to make a man miss in a 3rd down catch 2x
3 Blythe and Corbett assignment mishap
4 Several conservative play calls to keep the QB from taking hits

The entire game was designed to play it safe and get backups play time where possible.

Didn't think about that angle of keeping certain players healthy, you may be right.

Malcolm just a better blocker. Henderson has improved on his blitz pickups but still get pushed into the qb to often.

We ran a lot of 2 and 3 TE sets this past week. We even saw Mundt get a catch. I think Jourdan mentione we ran 3 TE 4x our average.
