This cracks me up. This article makes him out to be some ultra tough guy. Freaking pansies. I lost the tips of four fingers including about 1/4" of bone on my ring finger. What did I do? I calmly wrapped my hand with gauze and collected up the tips while waiting for my wife to come pick me up and take me to the hospital. Then I waited 5 1/2 hours for the joke of a hospital to put a doctor in front of me - a doctor, mind you, that had no idea how to use the cauterizing equipment (he kept shocking himself).

Then, I went back to work, and went on a week long elk hunt in the mountains of Eastern Oregon the next week.

So excuse me if I roll my ideas at the idea this guy is SO tough because he lost a tip of a pinkie and had some of the best doctors in the world and after care as well and was able to come back out and snap a football. BFD

Right... Jesus you'd think through guy gets a medal and parade. My father back in the day got in a CAR accident (singular, as in one car..)and effed his chin up on the steering wheel something fierce. He might have been a bit intoxicated so he figures hell just go to the hospital himself instead if bothering the police. Sneaks himself into a hospital room and procedes to stitch his busted chin back together. He did a really shitty job to boot, had this big ol chunk of scar tissue hanging off the center of his chin.
So yeah, whatever long snapper with your itty biity pinkie. Your story sucks dude.

I once hit my funny bone climbing into my chair at work (I don't stand at my standing desk) and just went right on typing on my keyboard. Stupid long snapper.

Was it your dominant hand because dialing your wife would have been slightly awkward.

I thougjt it was the snappers finger nail.

How did you lose the tips?

Not quite a Ronnie Lott story, but it probably wasn't his idea to even make it a story.

Off hand in a food processor doing what I’ve told my staff many times to never do. I didn’t say I was smart.

1. Did you serve that food?
2. Was it better or worse from the added seasoning?

Also, that pic was gnarly. Good Lord, I'd probably quit life if I chopped off my fingers like that.

My brother thought he was a funny man. He called and said he heard we made some great coleslaw and that I had a hand in it.

Yeah - that was six years ago and I still don’t have much feeling in two of my finger tips. Amazingly, they mostly grew back through what the specialist called granulation. He described it as something like a memory growth.

Hold the pickles, hold the lettuce, special orders don't upset us..

or

Two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions
