Nobody is coming out of retirement at the age of 34 after multiple years off and playing the hardest position in sports. It's a joke.

@dieterbrock stole my thoughts...

34... coming out of retirement... not really ever established at the position to begin with...

I'm sure the takers will be lined up!

So a 34 year old qb who was cut by every team he's played for in a QB starved League and this includes the bumbling Brown's who will put a pigeon at QB if they think it will help is better then Better then Goff?

Strange they would cut him...Guy has a career 31-19 record...not great, but definitely not terrible either. He wins...

I think you need to look closer at those bumbling Browns offensive stats.

Besides Cody Kessler, he played better than anyone there....

Cody Kessler...think he was a 3rd or 4th round pick....I didn't think he'd get drafted.

The big red flag that I have always had with Vince came out at his combine.

Originally it was reported that he scored a 6 on the Wonderlic test. Later... some damage control came out from somewhere and it was said that he was given the test again and he scored a 16. Many doubt the second score.

The thing is... I'm super familiar with the Wonderlic test. I'm in the school business and I've been using that test as part of our school's entrance requirements for 30 years.

Many can try and poo poo the test and how the scores translate to the football field... but I will say that I am confident that someone who scores that low on the test is going to have a difficult time playing QB in the NFL (especially today). Somebody with a score like that needs to stick to the defensive side of the ball.

I could have posted that record with that team.

Young was a bust, and an immature one at that.

Offensive rookie of the year....wins 31 out of 50 games...and is a bust? :notsure:Really?!? I wonder what he could have done if he was decent?:bueller:o_O:thinking:

IMO he and Leinert were both media hype jobs.

I watched the college title game and I remember posting on the Herd that the only guy I felt would make an impact in the NFL out of all of the "stars", was LenDale White. I thought Busgh Leiner and Young were not going to succeed in the NFL.

White was OK, Bush played well only after jacking himself up on PED's.

Leinert and Young stunk.

He lost his job to a broken down Kerry Collins man. Young was terrible.
