The thing that bothers me is he hasn;t even communicated with the team or his teammates. That's bogus.

With everything we've heard about the cops being called repeatedly, etc and the bare minimum of communication with his family, and his agent not being able to accomplish anything - I take the totality to mean that he is seriously messed up. Hopefully he can get help. He's basically lost his NFL career with the huge salary even at league minimum.

Tre's been placed on the Reserve/DNR list.
Is that the same as the DNI list- Did Not Inhale?

Update: I know someone who talked to an old friend of Mason's. He said the last time he saw Tre it looked like he hadn't worked out in months. Said it looked like he lost a lot of weight and didn't look good, mentally or physically. This just keeps getting worse.

I hope he gets help soon, and gets everything straightened out. That's priority one, and is much, much bigger than football.

TMZ: Los Angeles Rams RB Tre Mason Missing

http://www.turfshowtimes.com/2016/8/1/12345076/tmz-los-angeles-rams-rb-tre-mason-missing

The Tre Mason has hit a somber and worrisome point. TMZ is reporting that he is “missing” and that nobody knows where he is:

They’ve also got details from the July 23rd incident, and it’s troubling:

Cops say Tre's mother had called because her son was "acting unusual and making irrational statements."

When Tre saw the cops, he threatened to call the White House and have them all fired -- and made bizarre statements about Al Qaeda ... so says the report.

Upon inspection, cops noticed a hole that had been punched in the wall of Tre's bedroom and a broken vase and lamp. Tre also had a cut on his hand, but was refusing medical attention.

Let’s be blunt. This isn’t funny. And his professional well-being is firmly less of a priority at this point.

Tre needs help. However he gets it and from whom, I hope it happens. Soon.

I feel for Tre and his family. Unfortunately, it looks like another Titus Young situation.

Mental illnesses suck.

That's what I was thinking.

Or it could be drugs. Weight loss. Erratic behavior. Delusional statements. Lots of drugs in addition to little sleep can lose a person.

Man, his mental state is slipping, that's a shame, I wonder what's going on. I hope he can get some help, but it seems grim right now.

They need to find him and get him help. From the latest reports, he's been violent and could harm himself or his family.

That is worrisome. Doesn't sound like he can take care of himself in his current state.

Rams worried as months have gone by without word from RB Tre Mason

IRVINE, Calif. -- The Los Angeles Rams haven't heard from running back Tre Mason in seven months and have no idea when they might see him again.

Rams officials said Tuesday that they have tried several times to get in touch with Mason, who was arrested in March on charges of reckless driving, marijuana possession and resisting arrest. The team has been in contact with Mason's family and his agent, Bus Cook, but has been unable to get answers about his condition or his whereabouts.

Rams tackle Greg Robinson was in contact with Mason via text at some point during the offseason, but officials said communication has been complicated because Mason has changed his cell phone number multiple times.

"Right now, we're more concerned with Tre Mason's well-being than we are his football career," Rams coach Jeff Fisher told reporters at Rams training camp over the weekend. "We're going to continue to try to reach him to see where he's at."

Officially, Mason is on the Rams' Reserve/Did Not Report list, so he doesn't count against their 90-man training camp roster.

Police in Hollywood, Florida, said Mason refused orders to get out of his sports car on March 5, after he was pulled over for going twice the speed limit in a 35 mph zone. Officers said they used a stun gun on Mason twice.

Los Angeles Rams running back Tre Mason has been missing in action from training camp and has not spoken to head coach Jeff Fisher since the 2015 season ended. He was placed on the Reserve/Did Not Report list and excused from camp for "personal reasons," while Fisher has stated that the team is "concerned about Tre Mason's well-being more than we are his football career."

According to a report from TMZ Sports, there may be valid reason for the Rams to be concerned about Mason. TMZ obtained a police report from an incident at Mason's Florida house on July 23, which detailed the fact that police had been to his house five times in four months after his family reported "strange behavior" and concerns about his mental health.

According to the report, filed by the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office ... cops say Tre's mother had called because her son was "acting unusual and making irrational statements."

The officer who filed the report made it clear Tre was in no position to make decisions on his own.

"I believe that Tre does not have the [redacted] ability to make decisions at this time and therefore he was transported to [redacted] where he was treated for the laceration and admitted for evaluation under the [redacted]."

This is all, obviously, very concerning. Not much more information is known at this time, but it's more important that Mason get himself right, physically and mentally than that he return to football any time soon.

Bizarre to say the least.

Hope they find him before he hurts someone or himself. If it isn't too late already.

http://abcnews.go.com/Sports/rams-rb-tre-mason-admitted-hospital-evaluation-late/story?id=41092184

Los Angeles Rams running back Tre Mason, from whom the team hasn't heard despite multiple attempts to contact him, was "admitted for evaluation" to a hospital in late July after his mother called police in South Florida, saying Mason was acting strangely.

According to a police report, Palm Beach County Sheriff's officers arrived at his mother's house in Lake Charleston, Florida, after Tina Mason called to report that Tre Mason was "acting unusual and making irrational statements."

According to the police report, Tre Mason told officers that "he was going to call the White House and we were all going to lose our jobs" and that "the police were responsible for teaching al-Qaida how to fly planes."

Police observed that a hole had been punched in the wall of Mason's bedroom, and there was a broken vase and lamp in the room as well. Police determined that Mason wasn't fit "to make decisions" for himself at the time, and he was taken to the hospital for a small laceration on his hand as well as observation.

According to the report, Mason also applauded the officers, telling them that "he was used to being the entertainment for others, but now (officers) were his entertainment."

Rams tackle Greg Robinson has been in contact with Mason at some point during the offseason via text, but officials said that communication has been complicated because Mason has changed his cell phone number multiple times.

TMZ Sports first reported that Mason was admitted for evaluation by police.

Police in Hollywood, Florida, said Mason refused orders to get out of his sports car on March 5, after he was pulled over for going twice the speed limit in a 35 mph zone. Officers said they used a stun gun on Mason twice.

ESPN Staff Writers Dan Graziano and Adam Caplan contributed to this report.
