(On being closer to the first preseason game on Sunday)
“Yes, we are. I just mentioned to them, we’re now kind of now in that mode. Tomorrow, we’ll start the preparation for the first preseason game and it involves a lot. How you travel, how you warm up, how you’re supposed to stand for the National Anthem, everything. We’ve got a lot to get covered. I think we’re in good shape right now physically, and now they’re just kind of looking forward to playing.”
(On RB Steven Jackson not practicing)
“Yes, we rested Jack.”
(On players sitting out today’s practice)
“Yes, WR Danario’s (Alexander) still struggling. He’s not quite 100 percent, so we backed him down. (CB) Kendric Burney was excused, flu symptoms, you know that kind of stuff. Nothing really major, so we’re in pretty good shape.”
